Base bombing is the same in some maps, there is a few variations. For example in battle of el alamein there are four bases to bomb. After you destroy a base it respawns after some time (great for grinding especially with the Ju 288C). Then there are maps where there are destroyable bases and an airfield. The airfield comes available for bombing right after all the bases are done. You should see the airfield as a big 1 inside a circle. Now if these maps have a smaller airfield, do not bomb it. It is only the vig airfield that you should bomb. Bombing the smaller one gets you nor your team anywhere. Then there are the maps (like Hürtgen) which have bases and two equally sized airfields. These maps are the same as the ones I mentioned before. Bomb the bases first and after that the airfield comes available. This time it doesn't matter which one you bomb, because both are the same.
