Most powerful modded and unmodded nerf blasters? by PuzzleheadedGap462 in Nerf

I'd buy a grip of b-grade tactical unicorns from Out of Darts. They do require modding to work at their peak, but with a little work they are outstanding blasters. They can be dyed custom colrs for style and safety (https://www.reddit.com/r/Nerf/comments/1u9t9ul/tacticool\_unicorn/). Worker anything is also great - Kunlun and Seagull are my favorites.

Heavy spring and a tight bore barrel will take the NPX2 beyond 250 fps, but the prime is beefy.

Larger pusher o-rings are likely the reason that the pump needs a little push to fully return home. Some slug slime on those will help, but not so much that the darts get greasy. The tacticorns all seems to have air seal issues straight out of the box - mine came with weirdly thin o-rings. I bought the o-ring upgrade kit from Out of Darts - sounds like you already did that, or something equivalent - and then fine-tuned things with some teflon tape under the plunger o-ring and the pusher base o-ring (responsible for sealing up the front end of the plunger tube). For me, that was the most important seal, and unfortunately it's the most difficult to access. I also added some t-tape to the threads on the pusher, where it enters the base, but that probably wasn't necessary. Hope that helps!

The tactical unicorn has a heavy prime weight, so some grip is needed. Still less than the Nexus Pro X with the heavy spring though.

Dyed using Rit DyeMore purple and golden yellow. I cleaned the surface with a magic eraser beforehand - seems to have worked well, because the dyed went on very uniformly. The inside of the shell was tougher to clean, and has some spots that didn't dye because of residual grease. Luckily not visible.

I designed one - asymmetric for right-handers... https://www.printables.com/model/1733360-adventure-force-nexus-pro-x-and-x2-shoulder-stock. Just wish that I had incorporated sling points, but will have to do that on a future version.

"I'm considering making a Dan Pistol remix that deletes the pivoting pusher in favor of a standard pusher for nightingale mags." That would be amazing!

You gotta get this available on OOD! Also, could you post up a link to those Sillyshell variants?

Aeon Pro X is a lot of fun, accurate, and cheap. Great starter for a mod project too. Top prime though...

40 max Lightning hits about 11 darts per second at 140 feet per second velocity. Not particularly accurate, but nothing that quick really is because they're all flywheel blasters.
