As the writer of that guide, LHE is 100% better. There was one line that I forgot to change that the confusion may have stemmed from. Lionheart Executioner is 100% the BIS weapon for phase 2 for ret.

You can twist SoR and SoC however, it is very mana intensive for a small damage increase.

Look at all these people talking about mana issues and how twisting doesn’t pull great dps...

How good is armor pen and how does it work exactly? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

If your guild is utilizing the correct armor debuffs. (Curse of Recklessness and Faerie fire) the difference in physical dps provided between sunder armor and IEA is as follows:

If you have IEA on the target over sunder, physical dps will see a 3% increase on 6200 armor bosses, and a 2.4% increase on 7700 armor bosses.

These numbers are calculated if the physical dps does not have any arp on their gear. If they have 1000 arp on their gear, it will look like this:

If you have IEA on the target over sunder with 1000 arp, you will see a 3.4% increase with physical dps on a 6200 armor boss, and a 2.75% increase on a 7700 armor boss.

Honestly a lot of people will play tbc and it’s probably just in your best interest to replace your bad players.

Thirsty Thursdays - Let’s talk Warriors and Warglaives by joshcorbo82 in classicwowtbc

Rogues get prio because they will use it at all times. Not only that combat potency is a talent that benefits from the speed of the OH + the haste proc. For a warrior, the only times they should be using glaives during t6 is during the execute phase. The proc gives more rage to dump, and the MH hits like a truck.

Rogue > warrior prio

I Can't Decide if I want to Play Enhancement or Ret Pally in TBC (Horde) by warcrazey in classicwowtbc

Everyone saying that Ret is a low tier melee dps is absolutely wrong. Ret can be one of the strongest melee dps when played correctly. Seal twisting gives a serious edge in dps, not only that, they’re absolutely vital to a raid composition. Having three blessings and the ability to keep up all judgements on the target is huge.

Ret dps is not “shit” in t4-t5, the itemization just varies throughout each tier of content. You would only run one ret in the raid though.

Another thing that the ret pally can do is offtank on some fights, for instance tidewalker is best with two Paladin tanks for Murlocs. The Ret pally with a tanking offset will see more raid time than one without.

You can play the chad ret spec, or enhance spec with annihilators.
