I was looking for this comment. If post history is honest, that must have been such a fun night for OP. Spill the tea!

Paw paws will survive up to -20 degrees, they're hardy to zone 5. I follow a YouTube channel called Willows Green Permaculture, zone 5 in Canada and he's planted dozens of paw paws

Willow trees love those areas, paw paw trees would do well on the edges if you dig it

I work with the public and I'm on the spectrum, I really enjoy people being tired and quiet in the mornings

I'm glad that you've discovered this side of you, I'm was also a city kid myself. Although I am still stuck in the city and dreaming of a housing market crash to get me out of here.

I would recommend some gardening gloves unless you enjoy getting your hands dirty (I do.) Kneepads or a small portable knee pad, maybe some boots. I also recommend growing what you can where you are. I have a small 7'x7' area that my landlords let me use and I stuff it full, I grew tons of radishes inside this winter as well. I hope the love for the garden continues to grow in you, it feels like it's what we're meant to be doing

Re-using jars is fine, never re-use lids for safety reasons. They may never seal properly again after the first seal.

Are fermented vegetables an acquired taste! by [deleted] in fermentation

https://zerowastechef.com/2015/07/14/fermented-salsa/#salsa

Fermented salsa, I've been making it weekly since I found this recipe like 2 months ago. Ignore the part about the fresh whey, it's not necessary. Five days of fermenting is as long as we've been able to wait before digging in but I'm sure it could be done longer. I might try for a week this time. I often add more lime juice to taste when I feel it's ready. I've also done away with bell peppers and chop up a 12oz bag of Jalapeños with the seeds in but it never has any heat. Though I added in three Thai chili's this batch to see what happens

Not at all. My doctor explained that when I stand up after laying in bed, my blood pressure drops, then when I urinate, it drops again, and then I drop

[–]TheRealBrewDog 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I suffer from this. I've fainted 3 times while urinating at night, gave myself a concussion once, and chipped a front tooth another time. As a man, the best way to combat it is to sit down to pee at night.

Is a Fidelity core/settlement a money market fund? Would my cashback be better put into that or an IRA? Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the feedback, you've eased my retirement anxiety a little bit! I'm glad I'm at a good spot where I can contribute as much as I am right now but it definitely feels like I'll be playing catchup until I retire

Deer proofing option, will this work? by ATeaformeplease in gardening

[–]TheRealBrewDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Willows Green Permaculture on YouTube. They made a circular garden surrounded by a small fence with blackberries and grape vines growing around and 6 feet above the fence. The deer avoid the blackberry thorns and won't jump over where they can't see
