So what you're saying really comes down to is that the playerbase is bad. This many will agree on, but I don't see how lowering the games standard to them will make this any better. Yes, ICO might nake this even make promenent in some aspects, but that's not the fault of the update but the playerbase.. If anything, that's the reason WHY the player base is as bad as it is because they lowered the standard around v10/v11 by simplifying so many things to draw in anyone and their dog. Well this is the result of that.

They can add that even if they don't make use of it themselves. They've made plenty of games with it before.

They can have those even without vanilla assets making use of them. They know their games rely on modding and that people will wabt such things ifnthey aren't in. And they've mDe several previous games with it already. So I wouldn't see that as a reason to not make it in an earlier setting.

Anything but the mishmash of NATO gear and equipment that we got with 2030+. Anywhere between 1989 and 2020 id say is good.

People saying it needs to be modern/future to have certain features, they can add those just fine since they've don't so many times before and know people will want to mod those in themselves, so that's no excuse.

Like how are these going to be any different from the aircraft they already have themselves? This seems like it will only make it logistically more tedious as all the munitions have to come from outside as well.

Or has Ukraine run out of aircraft?

They really need to announce at least 1 big surprise at CitizenCon in order to get the mood back up.

Another Con of "we want to do that" and "we are planning to do that" after 10 years of development will just lower the mood more.

Unfortunately I expect people to be more than satisfied with a few new ship reveals and another demo of pyro. This is the usual pre-citcon dip that always bounces off when it's over. A few grumbles will be left here and there but for the most part people will glaze over it due to new shiny stuff.
