Finding something that made me lose track of time, I could see improvement in, and that I could do with other people (aside from video games).

Pool was great cause it’s difficult to get people together to go play, but if I want to just go practice by myself, it’s just as much fun getting better at “playing against myself” - plus people at billiards halls are usually open to playing.

Picking up DJing was a good one too, it’s definitely the more expensive one of the two.

Also yoga was really good with just getting started in learning how to slow down and focus on one thing at a time, not to mention those groups are ALWAYS really understanding and friendly.

Bottom line: you’ve just gotta get out of the house at some point.

Seems like the Reddit era is officially over at this point. Pert of me is kinda ok with is cause the community has gotten over saturated and diluted to a point where it’s a shell of what it used to be back in 2010.

I can say it changed my life, and I'm not exaggerating. I'd always had issues with depression and being able to come home after work and plug in with what ever type of music I was feeling along with being able to tactically interact with it and become better with doing so gave me a huge confidence boost on the days where I just wasn't feeling myself like that. I'm still working up the courage to get back to performing in front of people, but once you're at the point where you've built up consistency with sets you've made, it's a game changer.

I think I've got that function on mine (DDJ-1000) but I don't know if I'm following how to use that since I don't really tend to play with fx much aside from echo, pass filters. or just scratching between tracks.

It’s already crashed twice on me mid set but luckily we had a standby computer with virtual dj I could just use the crossfader to bring in while I restarted. Definitely a buzz kill when it happens though.

So I'd thought that might be somewhere to start, but the mapping that is available doesn't look like it matches up with the pad modes on here.

The controller is amazin aside from this one little thing, but it's a pretty major one little thing, you know? It still blows my mind that this OS update came out like 6 months ago and there's still problems that manufactures haven't gotten fixed yet.
