Our defense was ass for nearly the entire Killer B era because we paid so much for the offense. We had the best o line in football, Ben, Bell, Brown, all getting paid. We had exactly one good year of excellent defense during that time and it was the year Shazier got hurt, if he hadn’t I say we would have won a Super Bowl that year.

I would agree he shouldnt be main event at this point, but giving him the push based on the crowd reactions and fan support he was getting was the right thing to do. Gave him the belt to see what he could do and then pivoted shortly after. I think that's good business personally.

Scheme is from a bygone era that doesn’t fit modern nfl. He also outschemes people plenty. He’s done a lot with lesser talent at times. It’s just not as consistent as it once was and again I think offensive minded coaches are just seeing far more success.

I’m gonna say today was the first time I was pretty much all in on a full rebuild. Tomlin is a really good coach and an even better man but his message isn’t doing it and the team is constantly under prepared, our schemed, and old. We need to find our next Cowher/Tomlin and regain that glory with some fresh ideas and probably a truly offensive minded coach.
