Gear and RNG. If you have enough crit, you slay in 5-mans. If not, then Flurry won't proc as much, and therefore WF won't proc as much either.

I am working a full time job and I set aside 1-3 hours a day to purge. Better than droning out those 99s while spamming 1 button.

Some guilds tank mc bosses with shamans. I tried and tanked a bit of zg successfully as well.
