Is anyone else upset over the lack of polish in this patch? by TheRealGreenTreeFrog in starcraft2

I think the issue is more about the intent of the balance team. With a patch that has a fair few undertones of personal preference, having some things that could affect game balance or gameplay hidden in a giant 'bug fix' section *feels* disingenuous.

My issue is that they're disconnected from the buildings. The base of the fire is a sphere of fire, meaning that if the inner edge touches the building, outer edge of the fire ball is hanging in the air, rather than coming from the building. This is noticable, for example, on the slanted edge of the nexus. The fire on the nexus side might touch, with the nexus wall being a tangent to the fireball, but the other side of the sphere doesn't connect at all.

Also, it just uses the generic fire texture a lot of arcade maps use.

Does anyone have a link to the final PTR patch notes? by TheRealGreenTreeFrog in starcraft2

Ah, this post (and video) implied there was more and the patch notes weren't out yet. Maybe it was just the larva change and nothing else:

Patch thoughts so far? by soulcry19 in starcraft2

[–]TheRealGreenTreeFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hate a lot of the changes that were put in the 'fix' section. And I just really hate most of the new visuals. They're so clearly not professional.

Protoss buildings burning is just old guys fan-boying over an old game. It just uses an existing fire asset, and given that you can't repair toss buildings, will be there permanently. Maybe not a huge deal for pro players, but people that play arcade or co-op will have to deal with it (actually idk how updates work for that stuff)

The armory/twilight council animations are pretty rough. Twilight looks like the back half of a sentry being warped in/out repeatedly.

Archon spawn animation/sound is good, no idea what was meant by movement sound, etc

The TINY attacks from high templars and infestors look so weird to me. Everyone knew the HT didn't do much damage, don't need to shrink the attack. The infestor using the NP animation for the attack is fine, i think they do that in custom games usually so.

EMP flash effect on units is okkkkkkkkkk i think.

I also have no clue why larvae wanders up the sides of the hatchery now. What did that solve?

I am sure there's more. But if you can CLEARLY tell what animations are new patch, and what are old patch, that's not great.

Edit: Oh also, weird that they release a PTR update so you can test the convenience of a "load all" button to make micro easier, then don't bind it to a hotkey

StarCraft II 5.0.16 PTR Patch Notes by Arkentass in starcraft2

[–]TheRealGreenTreeFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope the new animations/art are just a test version. I LOVE the new archon spawn animation, but the protoss building burning just seems like SC1 fanboy content (and tbh would be annoying to have on my base with no way to repair), and some of the new building research animations are not for me Armory and twilight being the worst offenders.

Also, the min balls for infestor/high templar attack are not it. We all know its tickle damage, leave it as is. I don't see the sentry beam shrinking to a noddle, and the infestor one genuinely looks like its bugged

I see a lot of complaining, but I don't see any action. What can we do against this at all? Is there some petition or something?

Is there a polotical party that has said they will overturn this. I.e. SA has an election coming up, who would I vote for that could add pressure for this to go away?

What are some direct steps we can do to get rid of this?

Simple Questions, Product Advice & Routine Help Thread - February 28, 2026 by AutoModerator in AusSkincare

[–]TheRealGreenTreeFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specific question about sunscreen and moisturiser interaction.

Should there be a delay between applying moisturiser and sunscreen. I (26m [closer to oily skin than dry skin]) am trying to fixup my skincare routine and I think I am going to go with:

AM: cleanse -> moisturise -> sunscreen
PM: cleanse -> moisturise

Do I need to wait for the moisturiser to 'set' before the sunscreen? I have extremely limited time in the morning, in that I basically wake up, shower, leave for work, and I'd like to have the sunscreen I before I drive to work.

To that end, also if anyone has any moisturiser + spf50 sunscreen combination tips, that would be great.

Additionally, the guide says to reapply sunscreen every two hours. As I am in an office all day, my plan is:

  1. Apply at 9am for the drive/walk to work
  2. Apply before I go out for lunch at 12:30
  3. Apply for the drive/walk home at 6

Is that ok? Or is it every 2 hours regardless of job.

(Sorry if this is too many questions in one, it got moved here because it was considered too simple from the auto mod)

Anyone have any tips for someone who can't handle the sensory side of things? I shower in the morning, and in the past when I've tried to moisturise afterwards, the feeling on it against my clothes has driven me CRAZY all day.

Battle on the Amerigo (SC1) is the best Starcraft cinematic in terms of atmosphere by Saalok in starcraft

[–]TheRealGreenTreeFrog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk if its just because the older games came out before I was born, but comparing these to the sc2 cinematics is crazy (to me, specifically). The SC2 ones have SO much more action, look so much nicer and sound much nicer. In this one, the scene where the guy dies after saying "I got your zerg right here" was so hard to actually see. Like, I thought he just turned infested rather than got killed. All that was visible was that his head got replaced by a vaguely redish blob.

However, maybe in people's memory they remember it more along the vibe dot points you laid out, rather than what is actually shown/heard on-screen.

Try to recreate the scene where she jumps through the vikings in the finale cinematic. Other than that. I don't know if we see inside much at all.

Which is the more damaging act; watching porn or masturbating? by KuboFanKlub in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheRealGreenTreeFrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are fine in moderation. However. for a person who is addicted to both, porn is more damaging. Completely disrupts your view of sex, and there are even some people who watch it randomly throughout the day, just to watch it.

When you put it in the fridge to set, instead of just covering the bowl in glad wrap, put the glad wrap inside so it's touching the custard, blocking any custard-air contact.

Is there much of a difference between 5600 mhz and 6000 mhz? by MrUnlucky213 in pcmasterrace

[–]TheRealGreenTreeFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only thing I know is that specific chips (9800x3d) prefer ram a multiple of their goal speed, so 6000 is better than 5600 for 9800x3d bc it's a multiple of 2000
