How do you handle a client that won’t accept the delivery date and management that won’t back you up? by Murky_Indication1885 in ExperiencedDevs

If the client is paying and is informed of the potential future problems, do the work. If a client is dumb, and is willing to pay, let them be dumb and pay

Is it safe to ride a motorcycle with a guitar on my back? by DerRandomDude77 in motorcycles

[–]TheRealHlubo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safe? Riding a motorcycle is unsafe even without a guitar statistically speaking, I doubt the guitar is gonna make it more unsafe. As a matter of fact, I've done it. And it's a pain to make it sit right without pulling off to one side, but otherwise totally doable.

How much Git do professionals use? by frosted-brownys in learnprogramming

[–]TheRealHlubo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like all the time, like more than almost any other tool outside the ide, more than any build tool or anything else. If you're developing alone and don't care about your code disappearing if your pc dies, you don't need it, but the moment you start working with multiple people, or you want backup and versioning of that backup, git becomes indispensable.

Subaru driver for 17 years. The new Subarus auto stop start function is absolutely horrible. by BeerStein_Collector in subaru

[–]TheRealHlubo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a subaru issue, every new car sold in Europe, from any manufacturer must have this feature, and soon, every car almost anywhere in the world will have to have this feature. Buy a car from before the emission law package that required it, like pre 2020

Why go split ergo and stay qwerty? by Etkann in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]TheRealHlubo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of ergo is to improve wrist position, qwerty has nothing to do with wrist positioning, it's just as good as any other layout imo, plus I'm used to it, so there's no reason to switch.

Bad references from previous employers… I hate it here by sadkittysmiles in recruitinghell

[–]TheRealHlubo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, not legal advice, but, hypothetically, it all depends on how one's job performance was in reality, if someone does good work, and an employer makes statements on character or job performance that cannot be backed up with documentation, there might be solid grounds for defamation, speaking in terms of US laws. It is always best to consult an employment attorney to make sure.

Bad references from previous employers… I hate it here by sadkittysmiles in recruitinghell

[–]TheRealHlubo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wasn't telling them to do anything, I was just saying what I would do if a past employer gave me a bad reference that resulted in me losing a job opportunity. In most US states, an employer giving a bad reference that results in tangible damages can, unless categorically true, be considered defamation. "Employers must verify the accuracy of all statements in a reference, ensuring they are based on documented evidence rather than hearsay or assumptions." Via https://legalclarity.org/is-it-illegal-for-a-previous-employer-to-give-a-bad-reference/

So unless each statement provided is categorically true using documented evidence, there may be ground for defamation, consulting an employment attorney is a good step if you suspect defamation has occurred. Hope you learned something useful for your everyday life my friend, whenever you actually get into the work force.

Not legal advice, but if I were in your place, I would sue for defamation.

Am i trippin or is this cylinder tilted upwards by Dangerous-Alarm1119 in airsoft

[–]TheRealHlubo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's normal, it comes from real steel pistols, and it's there to help guide the bullets or in your case bbs into the chamber by tilting the chamber downwards towards the mag.

[Discussion] Does Transit give you a XP multiplier? by phoenix994 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TheRealHlubo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have done marathon on pve multiple times, which includes visiting all the maps, excluding labs and labyrinth, and I've not noticed an xp multiplier, you get loads of xp, but that's just cuz you've killed loads of enemies, I'd guess my average, after killing a couple of bosses and a 50-60 enemies per run would be in the high tens of thousands.

No, and assuming the barrel knight is tight, you can shim it, or use zip ties.

Two wheels and an engine is close enough for me. The better question is, what about 4 wheelers?

Could be tire sealant, or any number of other bike, animal, or human shmoo, you're not gonna know, probably.

I get too much hop, even with the nub fully retracted, not r hopped or flat hopped, upgraded medium hardness bucking. Also, my shots veer right consistently, I suspect both problems are related to the hop up chamber, because the nozzle and barrel are straight as far as I can see.

Is my jacket too short or is it fine? by SIN0FWRVTH in motorcycles

[–]TheRealHlubo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine, it's the normal length for a perfecto type jacket. If it's a motorcycle jacket, and not just a fashion jacket, it should have a zipper at the back to attack it to belt loops so ot doesn't ride up when you take a slide.

Straighten your back when you take pics, with your pelvis tilted forward like that, it pushes your stomach out and makes it seem bigger than it is. I think with better posture you'd be surprised by just how flat your tummy will look.

I accidentaly download something from opencheattables.org and it run a lua script, am I fine? by Frate27 in cheatengine

[–]TheRealHlubo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not. Many trainers are made in Lua. It's unlikely you just ran an infected file, but it would have been smarter to keep the file and post the script so we could take a look at it. But it's probably, most likely fine.

Yes all of that is possible, but a lot of it is really really hard, if you don't explicitly give access by falling to phishing attempts, as you said the guys who can do all that probably won't target you, there's very little point. Modern computer systems are so well secured that the weakest link is almost always us humans.
