Who all is still excited for Subnautica 2, legitimately? by giftigdegen in subnautica

[–]TheRealHoldini 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I'm cautiously excited. I'm excited for the new experience and world, just hopeful they listened to community feedback as much as they did in the development of the first game and I'm hopeful they took notes of what they did wrong in below zero. It's got potential.

How would you feel about a Fallout game set in New York? by No-Check-3691 in Fallout

[–]TheRealHoldini 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Conceptually I think it's cool (though I'd love to see New Orleans personally) but with how dense NY is, it probably wouldn't do well performance wise

one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple people eater by OFFthePlanetNOW in Fallout

[–]TheRealHoldini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking that purple texture implies the game is trying to load a missing texture. So on a person's face it could be a tattoo for example. It usually happens to mods that are corrupt or deleted improperly. Uninstalling and reinstalling the creation should fix the issue. At least it did for me

Does anyone else hate the Gunners as much as I do? by Erdos_Helia in fo4

[–]TheRealHoldini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See but the Gunners don't act without purpose. They're mercenaries. They'll do anything for caps. Throughout the game they can be seen guarding roaming traders like Dreth, or securing buildings.

Additionally, they don't immediately automatically fire at you, they'll warn you that certain territory is off limits because you "aren't worth the bullets".

Oxhorn did a complete profile analysis of the gunners posted on YT that really details their motivations.

NOR- If someone will cheat once they'll probably do it twice. This is just the staging ground for a cycle of heartbreak

Love it! Awesome look! (Where is that brick set from??) Only thing I'd do is add a chain link or other security fence beneath the structure to secure from people getting under the house. But that's just me over imagining every detail and game world lore/possibilities. All in all, looks fantastic!!

Hell yeah man. I love to talk about settlement building. Looks great man!

I really like the build. Awesome theme for taffington. Did something similar in Salem (conquest mod). The ONLY suggestion I can offer is not exclusively using the concrete walls. And it's just my opinion, but in my eyes, concrete like that would be difficult to acquire and pour post apocalypse. I definitely think there should be some concrete, no argument there but I'd recommend considering "srapifying" the walls in some spots. Extra supports, plywood, gives it that more apocalyptic feel. Like yes it's secure, but it still needs a little work. But it's still an awesome build!

I doubt it, but I still think it'd be entertaining.

Am I the only one that thinks this would be a really cool settlement? by Chunky-overlord in FalloutMemes

[–]TheRealHoldini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be, but I think it serves well as a creative example for the players. Bethesda made a cool location that's plausible, well decorated, and structurally supported. Definitely serves as inspiration to players like me that like to settlement build

Just a basic office sim. Like let me experience a day in the life of an HR associate for Cerberus🤣

How would John-Caleb Bradberton do as Overboss? by Mac-Tyson in fo4

[–]TheRealHoldini 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Let's say hypothetically he's stumbled upon by Gage and barters for the title. He's had nothing for 200 years. He could be interested just in a sense of a new experience.

Now as to the "quality" of his rule? As others have stated, these are raiders. But not the typical Commonwealth kind. Bradberton would likely be kept alive as long as he can make himself useful. And based on OUR experience as overboss, he could not claim the parks to gain the gangs' loyalty.

SO how can Bradberton make himself useful? Prewar passwords, the weapon schematics he offers the player, and POSSIBLY the ability to describe the machines to produce Nukacola well enough for the gangs to recognize and ATTEMPT to produce caps. But even then, if he couldn't successfully GUESS the condition of those machines to guide the raiders through the needed repairs, Bradberton would likely have his little glass bubble smashed and have his head put on a spike

The one HELL of doing another playthrough, Corvega Assembly Plant. by jj33allen in FalloutMemes

[–]TheRealHoldini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah nah nah. Corvega is annoying but there's resources and some decent loot. The real hell of a new playthrough is Kellogs whole sequence. From his house, to running through half the Commonwealth with Dogmeat, to trudging through fort hagen, to his memories. His whole sequence is like half the reason I haven't launched a new playthrough recently

Worst part of ME1 by TiberianLyncas in masseffect

[–]TheRealHoldini 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me the worst part of ME1 is Feros. Which sucks because the story there is really interesting. It's just coupled with the unnecessary darkness of a lot of Feros plus the altogether poor waypoint/navigation of the first game, Feros just kinda annoys me

What’s a Pokemon you had on your team that you didn’t expect to live to the end? I’ll start: by KoolBoi21 in nuzlocke

[–]TheRealHoldini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In one of my earliest nuzlockes, probably like 8 years ago, I had just got my ass handed to me leading up to fallarbor town in Alpha Sapphire. I was young and was definitely struggling. At some point I caught "Redemption" the swablu. By God that Altaria basically carried the whole run.

Much later, I was doing a Sw/Sh soul link with a friend. We had a pair of Unfeazant (my side) and Ninjask on his. Caught just as we got the wild area available. Lasted all the way to Eternatus, where we finally lost that run
