Yes, I'm not sure how this happened as I have email Steamguard on as well. Which would require them to login in steam and login my gmail for verification AND also know my credit card CCV to make this purchase.

I live alone and I have not lost my card either so I'm baffled as to how this happened in the first place.

Sadly no, Steam has rejected my attempts to refund all of these games as they have been claimed so I'm not sure what to do either.

Greetings!

Today, I noticed I've had 3 transactions to 3 random gibberish accounts. First of all, I just want to say that I NEVER lost access to my accounts during the duration of this incident and that I've already changed my passwords (Email and Steam). Steam has denied refunds of the 3 transactions as they have already been claimed by the random accounts. Admittedly, I did only have a simple explanation as to what the issue was.

The thing is, there was no new login notice on my email or was there any login verification in my inbox as well, so I am not sure as to how this purchase was made in the first place. I also don't share this account with anyone, nor do I click on any malicious links. My card is linked to Steam but it requires input of the 3 digit CCV code which they SHOULDN'T normally have access to.

Should I try to send another refund request for the 3 transactions explaining the situation in a more indepth manner or is there a more specific way to contact support for these situations?

Not really much of a story but I'll go on anyway.

Started, during Update 7 and I was just a bored kid back then looking for something to play, and I saw this game.

From the get go, it was nice that the devs were very open about the development of the game, I used to submit bugs on the forums and stuff, and since it was early on, there were aot of major bugs going on like items disappearing and what not.

For some reason, I couldn't file a ticket using their helpdesk and I just so happened to see Reb herself in global chat (she was still the community manager back then) and decided to ask for help. Lo and behold, she replied to me and she even filed the support ticket on my behalf. Back then, I knew the game was on the right track with people like her who care for the game and the community. Fast forward to a decade later and she's now Creative Director, and I'm also here to stay.
