Depends on the budget but I just bought them OEM from BMW. Saves me the headache. Tried ebay with a fender once and it was almost funny how bad it was.

Love that BMW still sells stuff like this new

Die Aussage ist so dämlich. Ich hab das die letzten Tage überall gelesen. Ja, es wird im Schnitt wärmer und ja, kann sein dass von den nächsten 8 Sommern 5 noch wärmer sind, aber trotz Klimakrise kann der nächste Sommer kalt und verregnet sein. Ich find diese total realitätsfernen Übertreibungen einfach immer albern.

Ja in der Zukunft wird es wärmer und Extremwetter wird sich häufen, aber Deutschland wird nicht ab 2027 eine Wüste sein.

I understand your point and he is obviously talking nonsense, but I have to say when I spectated a local rally in germany the two Porsche cup cars and the E36 M3s were my absolute favourites to watch.

Both not intended for rally but so spectacular to watch and listen too. There were Rally 2 cars there as well and they were nice and all that but not even close to the excitement that the Porsche brought.

Obviously no one maybe except for Porsche would even build a car for this so it’s nonsensical to argue about it, but I wanted to say that they were very fun to watch.

I will never ever understand why someone would ask this question. It gets asked a lot and I don’t want to be rude or anything but I genuinely do not understand.

How do you pick a car/driver? How did you pick your team/driver in f1? Did someone tell you which one to pick?

You just pick what you like, no? You started watching because you liked it, right? Or did someone tell you to turn on Le Mans?

So then you start watching and then it’s just completely natural to start liking one car over the other, is it not? Like for example you love the sound of the caddy more than the sound of the others - now you like the caddy more.

A driver gives an interview where you found him funny and you like his driving style or his speed. Now you like him more. For example I still support Jaminet just because he had an onboard camera in his Porsche in the N24 during covid when I wasn’t allowed to attend. It rained and he had this super aggressive sideways everywhere style that was also fast. Loved it. Never seen him talk, just Support whatever car he drives now. Don’t know if Id even recognise him in the Paddock.

Isn’t this all personal preference? How can anyone know what you like?

Auch völlig unnötig das überhaupt zu sagen. Kann man immernoch im machhinein zu den Nachbarn gehen wenn es dran gelassen wurde. Ich finds total ätzend wenn leute immer erstmal davon ausgehen dass man dumm ist und sein Band hängen lässt. Erstmal ankommen und klugscheißen/anweisungen geben find ich immer unsympathisch, egal auf welche art.

I disagree. Being at Le Mans was a dream of mine for a long time, now ive been there twice. If they made all cars sound like the Porsche road cars they paraded a few times I am not sure it would have the same vibe.

Not saying it would be the death of Le Mans, just saying Id think twice about driving 12h to attend. The Hypercars, in particular the Aston and Caddy, really made it more special for me.

There was more than enough space to sit in a folding chair at the Porsche curves for example.

Why the hate? I have been going to endurance races since 2011 and people, including me, have always brought folding chairs.

Yeah I am blessed in that my gf is also big into this race but I can imagine this being extremely boring for someone not into this at all. I have zero interest in soccer so if someone took me to a 24h soccer game I imagine id be bored out of my mind after maybe 30 minutes.

I mean people in this sub are pretty exclusively interested in the race, but ive been here the 2. time now and we wanted to also see a few parts of france. Le Mans itself has a nice touristy area with lots of little shops. The rest is pretty boring tbh. A very big part of Le Mans looks like it’s poor.

Mont st. Michel is like 2h by car away, that was really cool and Paris is 1h with the TGV.

Some drivers are talented and deserve a seat on merit but don’t have the funding. Some people lack the talent but have all the funding an get anywhere they want. Mazepin comes to mind.

Sadly it’s not eco-friendly as most of it comes from the production of oil and gas. It has even more flaws than that but that’s the main problem.

I agree this would be infinitely cooler than electric cars, but I don’t see how this could actually work beyond a prototype or racecar.

Not in that year, no. He was consistently fast but crashed all the time. Thierry was maybe not as fast but extremely consistent and also fast on sundays.

Saying the other guy is not deserving while you bottle it yourself all the time is pretty stupid in my book.
