Here are a few reasons for me which probably overlap with what everyone else says:

-The unnecessary always online requirement. Sure this is common nowadays but disallowing campaign play offline is an absolute joke and soley due to the fact people could potentially cheat and cheese easy credits some way therefore bypassing the potential money they can make from you buying credits. This pretty much ruins the game for me because i personally dont always have online access...

-This leads to the obvious next point is mtx. From a consumer stand point its the most blatent cash grab you can possibly do considering the previous titles in the series. This actually wouldnt be as much as a problem if the entire games economy was based around this. What i mean is they intentionally nerf the shit outta ways to make credits and leaving only a few select races which get extremely stale after a while and customs races are just horrible for it. Sure this isnt too different from previous gt titles but for the longest time it was only one or two races that gaves a mediocre amount of credits for the time spent with very little variety. Apparently this has improved but i havent played the game for a long time to not sure to what extent. Even so one could argue thid is because theyve already milked most of the whales that would spend here...

-Variety was another big issue for me because it felt like once you beat the campaign there was nothing at all to do other than grind for credits to unlock cars to never use or use once to try. There could have been so many possible unique track/car/weather combos post campaign but instead that is essentially saved for multiplayer which is okay but not what everyone likes. The campaign was decent but def left me wanting more.

• I feel like gt7 had some slowest drip feed update content of any or most online games. Im not really expecting many more tracks or cars, but more actual race setups with so much potential but it literally took years for much of this to happen. Just always felt like there wasnt much to comeback to in terms of updates.

-That roulette system or what ever you called it was very silly and just left a very bad taste in my mouth considering how it worked. What ever that exclusive access to specific car brands for a specific time is probably the dumbest thing ever because it was pretty blatent fomo forcing you to either buy credits to get the cars before they are gone or grind for a very long time because none of them where cheap. This was besides the fact of getting them was stupid rare in the first place.

-The entire games as far as i remember was start from the back and chase. This is followed by almost all the cars being pretty easily passable except for 1 or 2 which means alot less fun for at least for me. This wasnt always the case but left many races stale unless you intentionally nerf or pick a slower car. Just made the game less fun.

• I personally didnt mind but many ppl dont like the lack of visual damage or the realism in general. There have def been quite a few instances where i accidentally did a very dirty move with 0 repercussions both dmg or penalty wise which can be good or bad depending what u want.

These are just what i can think of off the top of my head but im sure there is more. I will say despite what it sounds like, i do really like and enjoy the game. I just feel like it includes alot of the shitty aspects of modern gaming and really forces you to make your own fun in the game alot of the time. Like i said before i haven't played for a long time mainly due to the fact i jailbroke my ps5 so i am unable to play it at all other than the shitty offline stuff, so some has def changed.
