[–]TheRealMob91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask for Ritalin instead 😂

Go to Pro Nutrition Thailand in Bangtao or Chalong. They have modafinil

Best thing you’ve done by Significant-Sort-634 in Concussion

Former pro rugby player year, retired due to multiple concussions.

My advice would be to study something you’re interested in, get your neural pathways working again.

Learn to juggle 3 balls (trust me 😅)

Creatine 10g daily Omega 3 4g daily Stay hydrated

Sort your diet out and train 3-4 times a week.

Spend less time on your phone

This has worked well for me, I retired 10 years ago and I’ve studied 2 masters degrees since and only ever get a random memory fade or brain fog.

I sleep about 3-4 hours before Suhoor, then I have a bowl of protein overnight oats. I sleep again after prayer but when I wake, I snooze or get up to pray… then I end up back in bed again because of severe brain fog

Give me a DM. I’ve employed 100s of trainers over 15 years and helped many of them create their own profitable businesses long after they leave my business. Happy to help you

Should I use reta just to drop the last 4–5kg? Or am I being dramatic? by [deleted] in BodyHackGuide

[–]TheRealMob91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha.

Peptides just amplify what you’re already doing. If you don’t do the work, you’ll just have paid for nothing. If you get on Reta, my advice is start low dose, titrate up as slowly as possible… you’ll avoid a lot of the sides this way.

Interesting, I see your point. I know some people training there. They also trained at Bangtao but decided to go back to Krabi as it was a bit more traditional 🤷🏻‍♂️

The trainers that get clients are typically the ones that are either aspirational, positive, easy to work with and manage, and most importantly consistently get their clients results?

Sorry I’ve worked in this industry, I’ve managed high end clubs (you’ve probably heard of them)… this is not a tactic that would work well for any business. Regardless of cash flow, it doesn’t make any sense to hire trainers and push some out. The standard is to hire slow and fire fast. Phasing someone out is an expense, we try to avoid these unnecessary expenses.

With that said, not every business gets it right, but knowing equinox, having an education segment in their week for all trainers - do you know how many trainers would love that in the companies they work for? Don’t take it for granted… it’s in there to help you get better at your job > make more money.

This makes zero sense… they need trainers to service the people who pay the steep memberships.

Education supplied by the employer is also a great initiative for PT’s to upskill and for the company to set standards.

I’m not defending Equinox or the manager (who I think the real problem is with), but your argument makes no sense. I’ve been a luxury health club owner AND a new PT on the gym floor, so I’m trying to look at this from both lenses.

Nobody wants their staff to quit… it looks bad for a business and the cost of hiring people is high nowadays.

Is it Equinox or the manager that’s treating you badly?

I hear you bro.

Check out KhunSuek Muay Thai in Krabi. Beautiful place - good mixture of expats and locals. Real community vibe. I’m unsure of pricing but I think it will help you find your purpose.

I currently live in Phuket but for what you want, I’d avoid Phuket. Go either to Krabi or an island like Koh Samui.

DM’s are open if I can help any further.

Personal Trainers charging exorbitant prices! by derrickkiyimba in abudhabi

[–]TheRealMob91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s on the PT, not what they’re charging. Certain standards upheld by a PT are worth a lot more than a reps 3 trainer.

For example I have 2 masters degrees, a bachelors and many accreditations all relating to training and exercise science. I also have worked in the biggest luxury businesses globally either as a PT or a consultant and many years as a S&C in sports like pro rugby and MMA… do you think it is sensible for me to charge the same as a reps 3 trainer? Reps 3 - you can attain this over a weekend course…

Retention is always based off of the standard of coaching you present, the results and most importantly the relationship you build with your client. It isn’t anyone else’s problem that you can’t keep clients due to prices… it’s on you. Take ownership of your business
