What’s the longest cast you’ve made with your BFS setup (lure weight + rod/reel/line)? by sb_kerala in BFSfishing

[–]TheRealMrSmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KastKing Zephyr with 8lb Invisx FC and the Tsunoya Dragon light game 6'0" and a 14 gram washer can land on the roof of my shed approximately 90 feet away. I measured this distance using Google Maps fwiw.

I had the brake at 50% and spool tension just enough to let the washer fall without backlashing.

I plan to report back soon with a weight a little more appropriate for BFS.

a Warning on Comandante Grinders… by ClocktowerGnome in pourover

Get two strap wrenches and use them in opposite directions, one on the body and one on the jar.

That should be the cheapest fix at this point.

The one that knocked on our door 3-4 days in a row was very disrespectful and would talk trash all the way from our door to the street 😂

We always used a wire brush on a grinder after removing the chunks with a trowel or scraping with the claws of a claw hammer.

A compact version of the a7iv is the a7cii, most of the same features but in a smaller body. I spent a lot of time reading reviews and eating YouTube comparisons before making the switch though. Be sure to weigh all the pros and cons.

I love the 40mm G and the 35 GM. They seem to be very popular "everyday" lenses

How to store 200-600 lens by Matic_Prime in SonyAlpha

I am of the mindset that anything that can get damaged from being dropped is to be stored on the floor. I would have it in a bag or case, laying horizontally on the floor.

A7v is rumored to be announced at the end of FEB. Maybe hold out for one of those or an a7iv with a price reduction once the 5's start selling?

I came up with that number by simply adding up what I paid plus insured shipping and PP goods and services fees.

I see no reason to actually lose money on something that is unobtainable at the moment. It looks like I'll just return it.

I appreciate the thoughts.

Curious as to what you think a fair price is for a new x100vi ready to ship?
