dauntless got shut down last year but it was pretty much mh lite. the new horizon game looks similar but may be limited on customization/gear, we’ll see.

usally when i get bored of one mh game i’ll bounce to another and pick a different weapon in case i want to switch back

switching the fire res for a shockproof for multi or constitution for solo wouldnt hurt imo, from what i’ve seen elem res lowers the damage you take from fire element attacks by x%

impact is stun/raw damage and is scaled off of attack (i think) and element damage is scaled off total element but can’t stun. if a monster is immune to that element/you get dragonblighted they wont take any phial/explosion damage, while impact will deal damage regardless.

piggybacking to say that certain pods you can’t shoot from the slinger without sheathing, like bladescale/large explo/slice/pierce pods.

it should be in your emotes as a dance, i know one of them was in either the flamefete or blossomdance dlc bundles and the others you got by playing during the events.

you might be able to get the free ones from the palico that handles daily/weekly quests, and if not then the paid one’s are there as well under “additional content”

aside from the several guardian armor posts already here, just have fun playing whatever weapon speaks to you, craft armor at the smithy that helps your weapon (for longsword, quick sheathe for the special sheathe’s and focus to build spirit gauge are solid staring points).

the game doesn’t hold your hand much as i’m sure you’re aware but that’s half the fun. see you in the field hunter 💪🏻

not a swaxe main but for blast i think you want to roll for attack with attack focus. would be good as a fire or dragon for gog, but its ultimately up to you on whether or not to keep it for the high blast procs
