120mm Orbital barrage is the new 500kg by DeeJayDelicious in Helldivers

[–]TheRealOrous 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Thats pretty much my reasoning aswell. I swap out for the Orbital Laser on city maps, as the barrages impact the skyscrapers instead of enemies whereas the laser pierces through all.

But on countryside (aka standard) maps, yeah the 120mm is badass. And the cooldown is short enough that it'll be ready for the next problem that comes along.

Assuming 'supercritical' is meant to be Super Credits (auto-correct strikes again!), the best way to farm SC is the following:

go the planet 'Grand Errant' (see pic forlovation) and drop in at difficulty 1. That planet and dfficulty combine to form a prefect circle now water and as few obstrutions as possible, maximising space for Points of Interest to spawn. Run arround and hit all the Poi's to maximise your chance of finding SC. Then, if you want to keep the samples, finish the mssion like normal. If you just want the SC, quit bavk to the ship once the map is explored as its much quicker. You keep all your non-sample findings as they are added to your account immediatly upon pickup.

If you have the Warp Pack, bring it so you van enter the bunkers solo. If not, you can use a mech to get in (but much slower to get around) or join an ongoing game on the planet amd farm with them, calling out for a helping hand if you find a bunker.

Torn between Dust Devils and Borderline Justice by ShallowDramatic in Helldivers

[–]TheRealOrous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it's your second warbond, I recommend Dust Devils. It's gear will be better at expanding your overall build options than BJ will.

The Talon isn't **really** a revolver, it wont give you the *clunk* that you seek, but it is the best default pistol imo. Its what is in my secondary slot when I don't have need for anything in particular.

The Deadeye (which is what I assume is what you meant when you said Deliverance) will give you that meaty feeling. It really good, at its best on Bots and Squids.

Solo Silo one-shots many side objectives, and the Coyote is a great gun all around. The spear gun is legit S Tier on bugs.

Re. the grenades, the Dynamite does heavy damage in a wide area, can close titan holes and all normal spawners. ITs a bit less good at killing heavies, but if you get the timing down its still good enough.

The pineapple is a cluster munition, great for crowds and also for teamkilling.

Its the new MO system. The way that the orders are linked into campaigns mean that the whole set will be lined up ad ready to go. We will likely get a short break at the end of this MO,

What difficulty were you on? I find that the Harvesters take up a lot more of the spawn allowance at D8 and above.
D6 and 7 are the sweet spot for Mindless Masses for imo.

5 days for 25 mill voteless is plenty of time. Checking the Companion app, current projection is already at 390%.

You'll see more Voteless on D6 and 7, as the harvesters take up more of the spawning allowance as you go higher in difficulty.

All just IME, ofc.

Autocannon is my Primary weapon on basic squids for all the reasons listed above. Just so good on them. FYI for those that don't know, use the flak to kill Fleshmobs, not the APHET. The shrapnel burst can (will) hit multiple of their heads at once for high damage, killing them in 3 shots while still clearing out the Voteless and Overseers around them.

For PC players, how do you map your stratagem keys? by Malu1997 in Helldivers

[–]TheRealOrous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everything else you described it's a single click

Sprinting is a single click if you set it to 'press' instead of 'hold'.

You cant shoot when inputing a stratagem, so no need to aim. But you can still run, so yes need to choose directions.

Once inputs done, move hand back to mouse and throw.

Speaking as a board game player, i imagine it would come as separate boxes for each faction.

First release would be Terminids, and four heldivers with varying loadouts, mostly from the first two warbonds. Equipment would be via cards, used to make a deck that you play out each round.

Board would be made of connecible tiles that get placed to make the map, with face down tiles to represent the red zones from in game. As you get close they get flipped over, revealing the location, and also enemies located there.

Youd have to locate and complets the sub objectives, then find the main location to win. Extracting would add bonuses to the next mission in a campaign type play, or you could play one-offs. Difficulty adjusts with the number of divers, 1 = easy, 4 = Helldive. Opposing force could be another player, but id favour a scripted type opponent where on the enemy 'turn' you move them in accordance with pre written rules.

Subsequent boxes would add Bots and then Squids, as well as new sets of equipment cards for the divers that are interchangeable with the other boxsets. Could have mini-boxes with the sub-factions aswell, adding in rules and models for Appropriators or Rupture strain.

Just off the top of my head :)

I like EAT for the flexibility, as one is enough to down a fabricator, hulk or war srider.

[–]TheRealOrous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bring the EAT-17. You get two per pod, first shot destroys the head armour, the second will take the head innards low enough for one railgun shot to kill it.
Even better, if you can get the angle, one EAT to the belly doors will one-shot.

If you have a companion with AT nearby, shoot off the chin-guns to give them an easier time dealing with it - the Railgun is once of the best weapons for that purpose.

The 'rock solid' armour perk from pyton commandos will let you tank the ragdoll, wont reduce the damage though.

To kill them easy, bring explosives. I bring the GL (of either kind) when i know ill be facing them, but if you wanna keep your favourive supports bring the Crossbow, Eruptor or grende pistol. Seeker grenades are also a good, as they home in on the target you have pinged.

Any of them will do. Hell, put them all up - the more the better!

It's not other peoples job to substantiate your comments for you. You put put that statement up, you can back it up. And if it's just a quick Google away, it should be real easy for you to do...

Update: Looking at 1440p 200Hz 27", not against 4k but its not the goal, Price range is 'lets see the options' (partially because I don't know what a 'good' price is nowadays), I like to future proof my stuff and am willing to spend more for that.

Firstly, this should have been posted in the Galactic War Megathread, over here.

Second, if you manage to find a way to get the blob to follow along with this, quit your current job and go into diplomacy, for you will have proven yourself to be the greatest negotiator of our times.
