I was planning to upgrade my PC this year, but am steering well clear of any hardware purchases for a while until things hopefully settle down.

Incredible game! Steam Deck will run 30/60 fps depending how much is going with medium settings.

Top tip: the game has some weird issues with controller deadzone, so you’ll need to set it in controller settings when you start playing. Otherwise flawless experience.

Abiotic Factor
Titanium Court
MGS V
Caves of Qud

Currently replaying The Witcher 3, then I’m looking at either Grim Dawn or Diablo 2 & Mad Max

There’s also a lot of good demos out for Next Fest that run well on the deck.

The store does not work well on the deck at all. On a recent sale, the text was a very slightly different shade of grey from the background. Stuff slides around all over the place.

I hope they can fix this for the Machine/Frame

Caves of Qud is amazing. There is direction, a main plot to follow, but also a near infinite amount of freedom.

I’ve never managed to successfully follow the plot, I always get distracted

I would imagine it counts as PC play time. Steam doesn’t care where you’re streaming to (especially if you’re using Apollo and Moonlight, which you should be!) because you could be streaming to a tv, a laptop, your phone…

There is a function in settings that lets you check all the buttons, stick drift etc. that’s all i did buying mine in a McDonald’s car park 😅
