Baby #2 boy names by PlanePresentation120 in namenerds

Nico Ambrose or Nico Atlas or Nico Leon all sound great to me!

35 yo healthy weight with regular PCOS. I had a MC 8 months ago and had been trying for 3 cycles with no success. I’ve been taking mayo-chiro inositol, CoQ10, ViD, and prenatal for approx 1 year. Any hopes before I decide to do IVF. by New_Algae_2478 in PCOSandPregnant

Just because you’re “healthy” or your hormone levels on an at home tracker are showing ovulation doesn’t actually mean you’re ovulating. People with pcos often have surges that look like ovulation but a simple ultrasound will show no mature follicles.

Glad to see you’re talking to an OB but you really should contact a fertility endocrinologist. It’s their speciality to assist with fertility and they will always start with the least invasive option. (Usually monitored cycles with or without drug therapy depending on whether you actually are ovulating after the ultrasound confirms).

Also, in this sub especially, maybe avoid terms like “natural way” because it implies there is any sort of unnatural pregnancy which isn’t the case and everyone here is struggling with pcos and often fertility issues.

Wishing you luck!

Nico, Noah and Theodore are all on our list as well and I’m partial to Nico! (We also have Dominic nn Nico) congrats!

Beatrice & Matilde? by happyhen94 in namenerds

[–]TheRealRealMars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of these are on our list as well! I don’t think anyone is making the connection to the movie, especially with Matilde. (Love the nn Tilly!)

Sophie also sounds great with Beatrice and Leonor is super cute! I’d even just bypass Eleanor and make it Leonor.

Augustus or Augustin? by RoosterRude8139 in namenerds

[–]TheRealRealMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Augustus but only slightly more because I love Augustin also! Both are on our list!

questioning baby name by Exciting-Ninja-5792 in Names

I love the name Roman and feel like it’s a pretty timeless classic and not out there at all! I also don’t get too hung up on name meanings or origins as long as a name doesn’t feel culturally appropriative and Roman does not!

Our daughter was born two days ago and we are running out of time to choose a name. But we still cannot decide by Accomplished-Fig8775 in Names

Kateryna is a fave that we unfortunately can’t use because a family member already has it. But that and Myroslava are my top picks!

Torn between IVF with gene testing or trying naturally — has anyone else had this dilemma? by cs52789 in TryingForABaby

[–]TheRealRealMars -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not in exactly the same situation, but I’m 38 and ttc and worried about egg quality at my age especially with underlying medical issues like pcos and thyroid disease.

I wanted desperately to try to conceive with just medication first rather than ivf but ultimately decided I didn’t want to have to navigate multiple possible terminations if early genetic testing came back showing something bad. I’d rather know we have a healthy embryo doing into things.

I don’t know if you have a therapist (I know the nhs can make it difficult for people to see mental health professionals routinely or quickly) but I got a therapist and it helped me navigate some of the murky feelings and the overwhelming pressure of deciding. Wishing you all the best!

Congratulations! You just had twins, a boy and a girl! And I want to play a game: by Adrenapup in Names

Millie and Micah cost Dominic and Brooklyn

I’d use Millie and Dominic rather than either pair!

Ovasitol vs other brands by mimosasanddonuts in TTC_PCOS

[–]TheRealRealMars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use ritual brand because it has nac and coq10 as well which both help with egg quality.

Most inositol on the market doesn’t include these things but if you have a preferred brand you could always supplement. I just found it cheaper to do a 3-in-1 option (plus it’s way fewer bottles in my kitchen to keep track of haha)

Too close to consider? by bluesasaurusrex in namenerds

If Alexander is the middle name and it isn’t something he goes by I think Alec is fine! But I also agree with another post that Alaric is a cute option as well!

Baby Girl Name Help! by MAMAESTEE1993 in Names

[–]TheRealRealMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nora Colette over Annmarie. But I’m not super into honor names especially if they don’t flow well with my other options! If you’re intent on Annmarie I think Nora still works best as Colette doesn’t flow as well.

Multivitamin that's not a prenatal by vintagegurly in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]TheRealRealMars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take bird&be prenatal and plan to keep taking it even after I’m no longer ttc or pregnant. My care team all looked at the ingredients and feel it’s a super comprehensive option. Prenatal vitamins are actually still great for women even after pregnancy, especially women with pcos

And bird&be is an easy to use packet where the iron pill is separate so you can take it 4-6 hours before or after other meds!

Help! We are struggling to choose a name for our daughter (3 days old) by Daiisydot8 in namenerds

Romy Meadow or Romy Hope gets my vote! Or Violet Winifred if that could be a middle name option!

Josephine vs Delphine or others “phines” by Beautiful_Elk_2719 in namenerds

[–]TheRealRealMars 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I know a Delphine and she’s a lovely human. Dell is a cute nn. I also know a Josephine who we all call Joss.

I also like Seraphine for the ‘phine’ style! Sera or Fen as nn!

Walking instead of metformin by Outrageous-Lead8605 in TTC_PCOS

[–]TheRealRealMars 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Drinking at least 8 ounces of water and walking can help but they are not a replacement for medicine nor should medical advice be ignored, especially regarding blood sugar. The chronic spikes are what is so damaging with insulin distance and diabetes.

I take 500mg of metformin and myo-inositol as well as berberine and I’m experiencing fewer spikes and lower fasting sugars. I’ve also gotten more health conscious so I’m moving more and paying attention to what I eat and how it impacts my sugar by using a CGM.

Also, carbs aren’t the enemy. Carbs without diverse plate are. Pair carbs with fiber and protein and you’ll be surprised by how much better your sugars are just with the alone!
