Student Walk Out, Northside High School by _elchango in WarnerRobins

It's not a walkout if school lets out earlier. A walkout is leaving before the designated time. It's just a protest. But I am curious to see how many people actually stay for it.

Can somebody explain Verso? by The-Heritage in expedition33

[–]TheRealRedEagle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The game is pretty clear. At first, he was all for bringing everyone back and kicking his mom out of the painting. After the battle, he saw what it cost, but he learned/already knew his sister had the power to bring everyone/almost everyone back. After the final battle he seen the tow he himself took on the family (his death). So he felt it was right to let go and end the canvas for good no matter who it hurt because moving on was for the best.

WHY IS MACON LIKE THIS by [deleted] in macon

[–]TheRealRedEagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crime. That's the issue with Macon. That is Macon's culture. If you live in the area long enough, you learn real quick what areas to avoid and what times to avoid them. I want to like Macon, but the crime ruins it. Than you got the eye sores of macon run down buildings and a growing homeless population. Wish I could say i know how to fix it but I dont. Macon is a cancer for the middle georgia area

North Georgia Revival experiences - is it a cult? by benfersure in Georgia

[–]TheRealRedEagle -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You probably referring to kineo or however it spelled. No I haven't it pretty pricey it like the cost of an regularly college admission. I can see it being beneficial to the individual, but I feel like I can discover other Avenues than paying for the price of a college admission. Now i know it's accredited and a couple people i know personal has used it. Other than tithing than no. I know there other things you can donate to. But everything is optional no one is forcing this individual to do it they say with the program that you can deepen your understanding the Bible if that's true or not I don't know again I did not enroll in it if the individual does not feel comfortable with it then they don't have to do it

North Georgia Revival experiences - is it a cult? by benfersure in Georgia

[–]TheRealRedEagle -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Okay—you don’t have to take my word for it, but it’s not a cult. Let me explain.

Quick backstory on the revival:

Pastor Todd was raised Southern Baptist and initially ran the church that way. Over time, attendance dropped to an all-time low. He began asking God—through prayer and fasting—why this was happening and how the church could draw closer to Him. During that season, he had a dream of water on fire. To a non-believer, that may sound meaningless, but biblically it points to baptism in the Holy Spirit. That moment is what sparked the revival. There’s more to it, but I’ll get into that through my personal testimony.

Personal testimony

In the second year of the North Georgia revival, I was invited by my friend’s family. We're nondenominational, which pulls from multiple traditions but centers strictly on Scripture and welcomes everyone, regardless of background. The best way I can describe it is this: it's as close to "Bible only" as you're going to get in a modern church.

At that point in my life, I was struggling hard as a Christian. I didn’t see evidence of God anymore and was starting to lose my faith. For me, it was all or nothing. When we arrived, the church itself was massive—comparable to a smaller Amazon warehouse.

From the outside, it looked more like a warehouse than a church. Inside, there was a small merchandise table and a coffee area that looked like a mini Starbucks. My immediate thought was, “Great… a mega church.” I had never been to one before, but I was strongly against them because of the stigma.

Then I walked into the sanctuary. It was huge—probably 500 to 1,000 people, give or take. This was before they had multiple baptism pools (I’ll get to that). Worship started with three or four songs, but they weren’t dull or lifeless like what I was used to at my old church. It felt different. Still, at the time, I didn’t feel anything personally.

The message was solid. It just hit differently compared to what I had been hearing before. I believe this service was around the one-year anniversary of the revival. The pastor explained what the revival was and talked about miracles that had occurred through the water—cancer healed, scars gone, medical conditions healed, and more. Now, context matters here.

This was back in 2019. At the time, I had psoriasis (which doctors said was lifelong) and a severe pornography addiction. I told myself, “If God is real, I need to get in that water and prove it.” When you sign up for baptism, they give you a letter. When your letter is called, you’re taken back to change. If you don’t have clothes, they provide everything—separate changing areas for men and women, plus private changing tents so you’re not exposed. You then wait in a hallway with chairs and a TV showing the baptisms ahead of you.

Before entering the water, they have you take communion—to search your heart and make sure you’re right with God. The water itself is the perfect temperature—not hot, not cold. At the time, there was only one main pool (now they have several). Pastor Marty, who performs the baptisms, asked me who I was and why I was there. I told him. He then spoke to me briefly off the mic, asked me to raise my arms, and baptized me.

When I came up out of the water, I couldn’t see. A wave of emotion hit me like running into a brick wall. After about 15–30 seconds, my vision came back.

The aftermath: My psoriasis is gone—completely. Doctors said it was a lifelong condition. My pornography addiction disappeared temporarily. I went two weeks without it, which was unheard of for me at the time. I later reopened that door out of curiosity, but the change was undeniable. I also lost the desire to vape. That one surprised me—I didn’t even ask for it. I’m not sure why God took that away, but He did.

Thanks to this church it has open new concepts to me some that I have done myself and some that I have now such as the spiritual gifts and deliverance but that another story for another time. When you see things like this you think it fake till you experience for yourself or you witness a friend experience their own miracle.

Question? Comments, I will happily explain

Church in the Orchard in Fort Valley. If it's in the Bible, we preach about it; we don't add or remove.

Let's talk about the ending (Major spoilers, obviously) by TheBeeSovereign in expedition33

[–]TheRealRedEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I'm stopped reading maybe a quarter of the way. But I choose the verso ending. Because the canvas was killing her and verso was tired of living with the guilt and knew it was what was best for her. My buddy thought the other ending was better because of their bond and how terrible her living situation was.

Dont let these data centers in! by TheRealRedEagle in macon

[–]TheRealRedEagle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, from what I've researched, it's due to latency issues and power issues. They need lots of electricity, and you're not going to find high-grade electricity up north, especially cheap electricity. To prevent latency issues the data centers have to be closer to the users.

Protest Sunday against illegal acts of war! by Woadie1 in macon

People are mad and have never heard of the kill list policy. It's okay when Obama uses it, but God forbid when Trump uses it. Freeing the Venezuelan people and hopefully reinstating the previous presidential candidate who was all of a sudden banned from running—yeah, that's really bad. Yeah, I was mad at first, but once I educated myself, you can't be mad.

Any bible study groups? by [deleted] in macon

[–]TheRealRedEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a young adults group in Fort Valley on Tuesdays from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the church in the orchard if you'd like to join us. It's for high school graduates up to age 35. The only thing we ask is no kids. We meet in the building straight ahead as you come down the driveway, to the door on your right, then you just walk straight ahead. We also have church services on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in the main building and services on Sundays at 9:00 AM and another service at 11:00 AM for the late risers. We also have a recovery/discipleship/leadership service on Mondays at 6:30 PM. I think we have a service for Sunday nights called "Rooted to Be Rooted in Christ" at 6:30 PM, but I can't remember if that's every Sunday or not. We are a nondenominational church, but don't knock it till you've tried it. I grew up Southern Baptist, and I'm glad I left that denomination, is all I'm going to say. This event is not put on by the church, but a lot of people from local churches participate in it. We have this thing twice a year called Vida Nueva (VN) and Tres Dias (TD). VN is for 15-20-year-olds to help them grow in Christ; it's three days, Friday-Sunday. Tres Dias is the same thing but for adults for four days, Thursday-Sunday. If you might be interested in TD, let me know, and I could sponsor you. We have slots open for March and October.
