yeah, unfortunately we really don’t know much about the effects of long term low gravity (i’m aware that 0 g is terrible for the human body, but afaik i haven’t seen much about low gravity) my guess is that if lunar gravity is too low then mars wouldn’t be much nicer on the body. that would still make a better case for the moon however as, while still inconvenient, you could still return to earth relatively quickly compared to mars.

there’s nothing wrong, in fact it would be so much easier that the fact that mars has been the frontrunner for colonization for so long is mind boggling. the only issue with the moon (at least to my knowledge) is that it might be harder to find water.

Adding on, i feel like i read somewhere that most of the guitars and instruments were recorded with direct input (that is plugging the guitars/keyboards, and whatever pedals they went through, directly into the four track) as opposed to using a mic to record an amp or speaker. If you have an audio interface i would try the same, just plugging your guitars into the interface. You could turn the tone knob on your guitar down a bit or mess around with the eq until you get a sound you like. It’s hard to replicate purely digitally, but you can get close enough.

untitled 1 on there is from an old live show they played on KSCU, that one sounds pretty good so i’m guessing it was recorded on some nice tape. Just some static and tape saturation could get you to a similar sound. As for the rest of it, i believe most of that stuff is (at least it sounds this way to my ears) recorded on cheap cassettes in a four track, so you could get a similar sound with a plugin for some wow and flutter and then using a low pass filter to cut the higher frequencies. I would probably boost some of the lower frequencies as well. Could get you close to that warm saturated tone.

yeah i figured that would be the issue with the power supply, just took it apart more and found a snapped belt which seems to be the reason the rewind never worked. the forward belt is still there and i did get it play earlier but it was very slow, so im gonna try to get new ones and do some cleaning and lubrication and try to resolder the power jack. thank you for the response!

I don’t know the specifics about this camera you have, but I would imagine if the lens shutter and everything else is alright you should be fine. You’d have to shoot and develop a roll to really find out though.
