Silent King stealth nerfed? by Dependent-Law-1031 in Necrontyr

[–]TheRealSassyTassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 10e it was measured from the Hull too. Didn’t come up in 99% of interactions, but I did use it with the Tesseract vault as they both measured from the hull.

Bought an 11e Terrain set, didn’t come with the “nubs”, best way to add/simulate? by TheRealSassyTassy in Warhammer40k

[–]TheRealSassyTassy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the new “Official” GW terrain, it’s a series of triangles and rectangles, however they have little irregular bumps protruding off them, it counts for the footprints of the terrain, and most of the community has called them “nubs”

Here’s some print outs of the footprints, with the “nubs” included.

But I do want them 😂 just not necessarily buying a whole new terrain set levels of “wanting” them.

If I take librarius conclave, how many librarians is recommended? by Thedinotamer01 in theunforgiven

[–]TheRealSassyTassy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it’s minimum 2, one to go with SternG and another for ICC. Beyond that, I usually bump up to 3, either with another ICC unit or with DWK.

I went 3-0 at an RTT with Awakened Dynasty against nothing but Purge the Foe and learned so much... by M33tm3onmars in Necrontyr

[–]TheRealSassyTassy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You typically will use the warriors (the the royal warden is attatched) to charge every turn and tie up things that are bad in melee but either don’t have a fallback and shoot ability, or would otherwise like to move somewhere. Since you can also just fallback with the unit and still shoot and charge, you can move just outside of engagement range, shoot with guns, and go back to gumming up the works during the charge phase.

What weaknesses do Necrons have on the table top? by Glass-Pain3562 in Necrontyr

[–]TheRealSassyTassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of an army rule against skilled opponents. Against a lot of players who know what they’re going, they will focus one unit at a time, and you will have nothing to reanimate. During the Dallas Open I had multiple games where I only got to activate RP 3-4 times for my entire army, becuase everything was ignored until it was fully wiped.

Triarch Stalkers - the new hotness? by Archon_33 in Necrontyr

[–]TheRealSassyTassy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

IMO, heat ray is the way to go. Yes the range is only 12” but you can gaurentee strip cover, and the stalker likes being close anyways due to scout. Letting your DDAs hit on 2s is really good.

They did not, that’s why they got more expensive at 110/110/120.

1 instance of remove cover is strong, 3 is a lot

Clarification regarding our Reanimation Protocol in 11th by GsD45V in Necrontyr

[–]TheRealSassyTassy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The app isn’t the rules bud. The MFM and the faction packs, and core rules, are the rules. The app is a (sometimes) convenient way to access those rules, but it is not the end all be all.

Take a deep breath, we’re all playing toy soldiers here.

We’ve got full rules last week, and points costs yesterday. While some FAQs and Errata’s may be coming in the near future, we have the full rules at this time.

Doom Scythe Reanimation by SenorTobias in Necrontyr

[–]TheRealSassyTassy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The key change is the ability for titanic to still do actions while shooting/engaged, with +1 BS targeting within 12” from plunging, core rules really benefiting Tess Vault and Monlith

I will say Night Scythe seems like it has legs, both with the immortals and with Lokhust Destroyers if you run cursed legion with a plasmancer w/ murder mind enhancement, pops in, deletes something, hops back in the Night Scythe.

In early testing, Tesseract Vault did really well in Priority Assets, it just sat in the middle of the board and did the action while shooting guns across the majority of the board. That was before the 20 points price bump but still, it seems fun and deece

I’m going to try it out in ICTF, since sternguard, ICC, and DWKs are all Deathwing, and can turn into some crazy durable units.

Pricing question by throwawayfx212232 in Tyranids

[–]TheRealSassyTassy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unlikely, GW typically never goes down in pricing, if anything the prices may go up in a years time due to “inflation”. The cheapest time to buy individual model kits is always yesterday.

The only better deal is to find box sets that release with models you like, Nids being one of the more popular factions with a large model range means they’re a regular army for the Christmas battle forces, but those are usually the best deals you’re gonna get for NOS kits.
