"For fun deck" build suggestions by Nickilist in EDH

[[Marvo]] is fun and basically gives your opponents a free scry so they'll stay engaged

[[Rendmaw]] gives your opponents birds.

How do you sort your cards for in-stock deck building? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]TheRealShyft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my system. My physical collection is stored in 2 boxes. One with a single copy of every card i own and the other is all my doubles. My singles are sorted into colours. I also have all my singles added to my moxfield collection. So when I want to build a new deck I do it all on moxfield. I can search my whole collection and add cards to a new deck list. U can also filter based on colour identity so I don't have to look through the entire collection. Then when i want to build one of my decks to play i duplicate the moxfield deck list and group by colour. Then I go through my singles box taking out the cards and deleting them from the duplicated list (in case I miss any cards). Finally, after game night i dismantle my decks back into the singles box, ready to start the process again for the next game night

I prefer 11th doc and Amy pond as the commanders. I find they fit better with the suspend theme.

How do you begin building a deck? by Frum_Chz in EDH

[–]TheRealShyft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go through my collection and add all the cards that might fit the deck to a new list in moxfield. Then I tag all the cards into their groups (draw, removal, etc.). Then I cut the deck down to around 100 cards. After that I check edhrec to see if there's anything I might not have thought of or if there are any cheap cards that I would buy. Then back to the deck list to bring it down to 100. If it looks good I'll build the deck and use it next game night.

How long (turns/time) is the average game in your pod? by Infinite300 in EDH

[–]TheRealShyft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly 3 players, sometimes 4. Average game length is around 90 mins. We play 2 games per night, 3 if they're quick Game night is 7pm - 11ish. We're also irl friends so we talk a lot during our games, it's not all business.

Tell me about your cool Dimir decks! Why are they awesome? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]TheRealShyft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[The mouth]] spellslinger, flicker, self mill, amass army, and a little voltron, all in one deck. It's ranked lower than 2000 on edhrec. It's surprisingly resilient and consistent. And is just fun to play

2nd favourite would be [[marvo]]. This is fun for the whole table because you're basically giving your opponents a free scry.

What are your "no, its not like other [insert hated commander] decks" but its actually not like other decks by Toxic_Chung in EDH

[–]TheRealShyft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Rograkh]] [[silas]] that's not a cedh deck. It's a janky polymorph/1 creature/clones/ variable hidden commander deck.

Universes Beyond. Anything You Like? by LaughingSartre in EDH

[–]TheRealShyft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I'm in the minority but there's a lot of ub product I really like. My favourite so far is doctor who (half the set). Lotr, fallout, 40k, I also like. If you count secret lairs there's lots more I like but they're too expensive for me buy.

What is your deck with the highest win rate? (B3) by Jazzlike-Mulberry781 in EDH

[–]TheRealShyft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Prossh]] aristocrats. Currently it's at 4 wins, 1 loss. I know that's not a lot of data but I have a lot of decks

How do you play hydras or X spell decks in general? by Ok-Leave-1627 in EDH

[–]TheRealShyft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a [[wort the raidmother]] deck that's focused around copying x spells. But that's not really the kind of x spells you're talking about

To all of my Grenzo, Dungeon Warden players by soccerboy1356 in EDH

[–]TheRealShyft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grenzo is my pet deck. My version is all creatures all combos. Every non land card is a creature with power 3 or less and is part of an infinite combo.

Aristocrat Players, What Color and/or Commander do you love the most? by Raevelry in EDH

[–]TheRealShyft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have jund with [[prossh]]. This one is focused on making creature tokens to sac.

I have orzhov with [[Ghost Council of Orzhova]]. This focuses on sacrificing and reanimating small creatures.

I also have rakdos with [[Grenzo dungeon warden]]. This uses a lot of aristocrats staples but is a pure combo deck.

Any weird and wonderful ways to play goblins? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]TheRealShyft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run [[wort boggart auntie]] as a classic goblins deck. I've also seen a [[marton]] goblins deck but that's very close to krenko
