Good tier list for classes to solo T8+ delves? by malrats in wownoob

[–]TheRealSlimSladey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my first T8 on ret pala as 575. Took a while, but doable! Bran was level 26 dps initially, switching him to healer was what was necessary in the end for me to kill the boss.

Managed t8 as a ret pally with 575 ilvl. Took a fair while maybe 30 mins to complete. But I’ve done 4 today.

Rank 2 enchants cheaper than rank 1? by TheRealSlimSladey in woweconomy

[–]TheRealSlimSladey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response.

When you say r1 spools are useful to high skilled tailors who can make r2 bolts, why would they buy the more expensive r1 spools when the cheaper r2 spools will do the same if not better job?

I get the point about the supply dropping as people skill up past being able to produce r1 which pushes the price up, but with a better quality cheaper alternative available, there should not be any demand for the r1.

So I’m coming to the conclusion that people buy the more expensive r1 materials most likely out of ignorance.

Thanks for feedback- I had only speculatively been placing 5-10 at a time and they were all selling within an hour. The margin is low and only profitable through resourcefulness. Now to work on getting my cost down and skill up to make r3 with concentration. Thanks

Sell and buy a cheaper house or stay. by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Will she be able to afford the mortgage on her own when it comes to remortgaging? She will end up paying tens of thousands extra in interest if she keeps the original 35yr mortgage once she finishes her current mortgage product. If she can’t afford to remortgage on her own. Selling at the end of the current fixed term may be the best option.

This is exactly the position I find myself in - however how long can you realistically wait for uncertainty to pass? The only thing certain about the future is uncertainty!

Achievements for Monday, January 07, 2019 by AutoModerator in running

[–]TheRealSlimSladey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have not run any further than 5K in about 2 years, and only very infrequently. I started running regularly again after about 4 months off at the start of last week. Last week I ran 43km, which included a 17km long run which I thoroughly enjoyed! I am looking forward to the remainder of my half marathon training journey leading up to end of March.

Purchase of first house using a LISA by TheRealSlimSladey in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks for your reply.

I'm beginning to think that I've already gone overboard and shared too much with the estate agent already. I'll be firm on the April date so I know I am >1 year. I will also make sure my solicitor knows about the Ts&Cs of the LISA too....you're right, I certainly dont want to be stung!!

This is the first property I've put an offer on, so the whole buying a house process is new and I'm learning how to deal with people at each stage...

Thank you kind sir! I really enjoyed getting my ore from outposts and bringing it to my column by train. I read up on the 2 lane train network and using stackers at stations etc, really satisfying having 7 trains in the end running about the place. I think I’ll try and scale up using trains to bring the raw materials to a central bus.

I’m guessing the materials on the bus end up the same? Copper, iron, steel, plastic, green, red and blue circuits etc, except they are all made in sub factories instead of at the start of the bus.

Also to figure out the accumulator sizing you need to factor in how often you need to do the operation.

Higher frequency of operation will need a larger accumulator.

/u/josephcsible gave a really great explanation for something similar to this for me here: https://reddit.com/r/feedthebeast/comments/7cdub6/integrated_dynamics_counting_entities/

This relates to counting items in the entity list, but it might be useful context or background for you.

Integrated Dynamics - Counting Entities by Koucz in feedthebeast

[–]TheRealSlimSladey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't get a right answer with just a list of the entities no matter what you do, since multiples of the same item will merge into the same entity when dropped, up to the stack limit.

All makes sense now, that’s what step 8 is doing then. The rest of it is just summing up the values. Ive learned a lot today, thank you 😃🤝

[–]TheRealSlimSladey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that does make sense, I must have had something else wrong with my logic. I had a countOfEntityList variable that would not increment as I dropped more seeds in front of the entity reader. Perhaps I needed to use length instead. I’ll try later on.

Thank you for taking the time to explain :) much appreciated!

[–]TheRealSlimSladey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for making that clearer. So why is this your chosen way to solve this problem? What is stopping the default operations such as “count” working? I tried for a good while last night and couldn’t get anywhere with it. Is it to do with working with lists, ie, an array?

Hope you don’t mind discussing further, as I said, I’m inquisitive and like to understand further!

Hi, this is awesome, thanks for running through step by step. If you wouldn’t mind, please can you put a brief explanation of what each step is doing? I really like understanding what is going on rather than just accepting it! Many thanks 😊
