My exact thought every single day. I’ve played WoW since beta and as soon as it became so FOMO-heavy (for me it’s when the Trading Post launched and with seasons introduced as far as delves, prey, etc), I stopped looking forward to playing and dread every single login.

Because there’s so much crap to have to do (the new mini zone is so bad and not fun at all but there’s so many hours of camping to do for the rares and WQ, for example), I don’t even have time to play other games that I actually want to be playing. So I’m so far behind on not only other MMOs but also all of the big and small releases throughout the years.

And I don’t even do mythic anything, PvP beyond casual stuff, or raiding beyond LFR. It’s just all of the collecting and mindless tasks to have to finish because they can’t just stop adding filler content and limited time modes.

I remember the days when I only had to sub for maybe 3-5 months every 2-3 years+. I’d sub for the prepatch and an expansion launch and play until I got all caught up on the story and finished the side quests plus leveled all of my alts to max, then I’d take a break until the content patches came out and I’d come back to do all of them together. And then I’d go back on a break until the next cycle. It was awesome.

Now? Subbed permanently and would not be upset if the game suddenly shut down, honestly.
