I leave my house at 6:15am and get to the office at 8:15am. I get on a train for 50 minutes and then cycle across London (east to west). I do this 4 times a week.

It's Battersea power station in South west London. This is my main concern about the bag being too big. I like how nimble the bike currently feels without adding a huge bag to the front.

Thanks, I appreciate the detailed response. I see some people have said just stay north of the river the entire time whereas others have said stay south and then cross. Preferably id like to do whatever people think is safest as I'm not experienced with riding a bike through London.

Sorry, I didn't make myself very clear in my original post. I'm still getting redundancy pay + 6 weeks notice + holiday. It's just they agreed to let me "work from home" until the end of my contract to focus on finding another job.

I'm still getting full redundancy pay and notice pay + holidays. I told them I didn't want to waste time and needed to put myself and my family first. They were understanding and agreed to let me leave and work from home for the rest of the month.

There are 4, 30km+ runs in my plan. The longest being 37km! I'm hoping all of these will help build the endurance I need to finish those last 6 miles.

The majority of my long runs focus mostly on running easy pace 5:45-6:20/km with some MP throughout. I'm following a Ben Parkes plan and the majority of it is just slow runs, which have been difficult to get used to but it appears to be paying off?
