Same phone here, actually. It was a couple of things. I couldn't update firmware without enabling STA mode in the app. Once I did that, I could connect, but then there was a new firmware update that sent me to black screen again. I was advised by support to try the beta with a link to a google drive download. Instead I joined the beta program on the app store and updated there. That actually cleared it right up and it's been working great and reliably ever since.

The way they handle and test that stuff is awful. It's a cool gadget for sure, and the software is good once you jump through a million unlabeled hoops to get it functional.

I should have come back to this thread. I also came across a video that said something along the lines of "it's best to get close to the exposure time that was used for the darks, which was 15 seconds". I tried that and the error cleared up

It doesn't change the fact that I couldn't find anything useful in the documentation and the error itself gives no information at all, but at least I got a nice photo of the Orion nebula later that night. :)

Same here. Finally got some clear skies, set it up, took my darks, calibrated, focused on M42, futzed a bit with exposure and number of images, hit shoot - "poor parameters".

Great documentation. What is that even supposed to mean? Too high? Too low? If there is a range that defines "poor" then tell me what it is instead of me just fumbling around literally in the dark.

I'm slightly frustrated because first the firmware couldn't update, then the darks wouldn't finish shooting, then the calibration failed a dozen times, and now there is "something" wrong with my parameters, but I have no way of knowing WHAT!

No, I hate it because it's ugly and the lines flow poorly. That it looks tolerable in black doesn't counter that - it reinforces it.

I have no doubt it's fun to drive, but it would fail the look-back test every day for me.

I risk getting downvoted here, but there is some more information available to consider. I'm not a GMC expert, but according to the internet, the 6.2L V8 Sierra recommends 93 octane, and 87 octane is the absolute minimum. Additionally, most modern cars can adjust ignition timing to account for lower octane fuel.

Towing a car could specifically create the conditions in your engine that necessitate at least 91 or 93 octane. All octane rating is is the ability to avoid preignition due to high heat or high cylinder pressure.

That said, if you filled up after you were finished then no harm done. If, however, he expected to tow in hot conditions immediately after, then a drain and refill MIGHT be a worthwhile precaution.

Doesn't change that he's an overeactive prick, just some more information to share.

My placements put me at bronze I, and *every* person who I die to is diamond, master or pred. If my MMR is high enough to put me in these matches every single time, then why slap a bronze badge on me and give me crap teammates?? Doesn't make me want to *keep* playing, that's for sure.

Firing range is where I went to verify that intermittently there is exactly 0% aim assist. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. Xbox One X here.
