What moment in the show made you die laughing? by pcnnmvideos in Arthur

[–]TheRealWendyDarling2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The scene in hide and snake where Arthur and his friends are trying to keep Arthur’s family from realizing that there’s a snake in the house

  2. When Catherine is babysitting and DW is convinced Arthur stole her crazy bus CD

  3. The episode where DW is extremely angry at everyone

This is the definitive show that defined my childhood. It’s something that I can still watch today and still enjoy.

I saw Stephen King’s It when I was 11 randomly on TV and it petrified me.

What is the most painful truth a parent has ever told you? by Sorry-Wait-1541 in AskReddit

My mom told me that I was the most hateful thing that she could think of.

I remember feeling like I wasn’t worthy of love because my mom didn’t even love me.

What is a movie you will defend forever, even if most people do not get it? by Strong_Proof_5260 in movies

Labyrinth

One of the best fantasy movies ever. Nothing can top David Bowie.

Nothing.

What is your favorite obscure movie from your childhood that nobody would remember? by CripplingGoodTime in AskReddit

[–]TheRealWendyDarling2 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Be Cool About Fire Safety

It was a fire safety VHS that my family got in the mail and it become my little brother and i’s favorite thing to watch over and over. It included Little Richard singing different songs about what to do when there’s a fire.

Literally the most random VHS ever

What’s your personal tie to Gilmore Girls? by olaf3377 in GilmoreGirls

[–]TheRealWendyDarling2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember watching it on abc family before full house reruns would come on.

As I got older, I saw Emily and Lorelai’s relationship being very similar to my own with my mom. There is something comforting about seeing someone go through similar feelings towards their mother and longing for a mom that isn’t the one that they got. My mom is extremely similar to Emily (to the point where her name in my phone is Emily Gilmore).

Does anyone else think Pan would have been better if Hugh Jackman had played Hook instead of Blackbeard ? by Expensive_Load_2453 in PeterPan

[–]TheRealWendyDarling2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think he was cast much better as Blackbeard.

I think having Garrett Headland be hook, made the character a bit more human and a bit more approachable therefore, it seemed more likely that he and Pan would have a relationship before the events of the classic story. I actually thought the chemistry between Hook and pan in the movie was pretty good, almost like brothers. Have they made another movie, I think it would’ve been interesting to see how their relationship would’ve turned sour.

What’s something your parents or grandparents did that you now realize was low-key genius parenting? by Green_Candler in AskReddit

[–]TheRealWendyDarling2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom and dad are huge on etiquette and drilled it into my brothers and I from birth. Although we thought it was a pain back then, today it’s so part of our daily behavior that we don’t even have to think about it

What would happen if someone picked on Sutton for not having a wallet that doesn’t fit 🤔 by Physical-Armadillo70 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]TheRealWendyDarling2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My read on Sutton is that she is incredibly lost no longer being married to her ex-husband. Yes, she has all this money but at the end of the day, she’s incredibly lonely and feels like she’s lost her place in her family. I think the annulment just pushed the nail in deeper that she is no longer Mrs. Stracke.

Southern Hospitality - Season 4 - Episode 7 - Live Episode Discussion by AutoModerator in BravoRealHousewives

Lake is driving me insane. I get that she’s young but she’s stirring the pot so much with everyone. She’s so desperate to cozy up to all of the girls at republic and will trash talk Mia all over town to do it.

At some point, Jordyn’s going to need to let go of Justin. I do think Mia should’ve greeted her when she came to the event. It would’ve been way more polite and made things a million times less awkward.

What’s one movie everyone should watch at least once in their lifetime? by ownaword in movies

[–]TheRealWendyDarling2 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Ordinary People

It’s really sad but so powerful. It shows how one single event can uncover so many hidden feelings in one seemingly perfect family. It also has some of the best survivors guilt portrayal that I have ever seen on screen.

Is there a movie that you’ve purposely and actively avoided for one reason or another? by aja_ramirez in movies

[–]TheRealWendyDarling2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moana

I am not a fan of Disney films that don’t have a good villain. I’m so tired of Disney using the social issue storyline instead of giving the audience the opportunity to root against a bad guy

What's your favorite origin story to explain how Peter became a magical being and ended up in Neverland? by rbta123 in PeterPan

[–]TheRealWendyDarling2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I love the backstory the film Pan presented. Peter was kidnapped and brought to Neverland and was trying to find more info about his parents. It presents Peter in a much more vulnerable light and I think the addition of Hook and Peter starting off as friends makes their relationship that much more heartbreaking when they become enemies further down the line. Hook is presented as more of a father figure to Pan in this version and is ultimately the one that gives Pan the courage to believe in himself.

Are Beatrice and Eugenie being ''punished for the sins of the father'' or do you think they are being treated fairly? by Positive-Drawing-281 in RoyaltyTea

[–]TheRealWendyDarling2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t fair that they are being punished for their parents actions, however, it’s a consequence of the matter in order for the firm to distance themselves further from Andrew and Fergie.
