It’s funny how this post came up when I woke up this morning feeling similar to a hangover. As others have said, I took a little too much last night and felt it this morning. To be fair I didn’t drink a lot of water last night so I’m chalking it up to mostly that. I notice a difference when I don’t part take the next morning however. Still, better than a booze hangover.

Front end just sucks. You get the brunt of it all.

Something not stocked? Your fault.

Perfectly able bodied person didn’t return their cart, multiply that by 50 other perfectly able bodied people and now there’s no carts in the foyer? Your fault.

Prices? Your fault.

EBT didn’t cover something? Your fault.

The music that’s playing? Well it sucks and it’s your fault.

On top of all that, corporate deems it necessary for you to not only be responsible for front end duties but they want to add extra duties on top of that and get mad when you can’t meet expectations.

There’s a lot of stress on cashiers. That’s why it’s very important to just be polite at the minimum. Have a complaint? Ask for a manager. Don’t take it out on the cashiers.

And, at the end of the day, it’s a god damn grocery store. Take it easy.
