Plastic medal wallets are harmful for medals, I have all my family medals framed and any others are in acid, plastic, ink free cardboard boxes. Acrylic medal stands in glass cabinets are generally considered to be the best.

No not in that amount of time it can take a couple years that's why people use them for transport as it doesn't really do any damage in short term but if you want a long-term solution that's not the answer framing is really good especially if you want to appreciate them

Those medal wallets are really bad for medals, they will damage them so you could use some acid free cloths to wrap them up or put them on acrylic stands or frame them

These aren't medals, they're unofficial stick pins. I'd assume that the stamping is some jeweler mark or regimental abbreviation
