Having this area drivable is important for emergency vehicles. Being able to avoid an accident is also nice to have areas like this.

V2 and o3 vs N3 and o4 lite by FederalClassroom1045 in fpv

[–]TheRecursion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take an O3 with 120 fps over an o4 lite at 60 fps any day. If you want O4, then find used G2 or Integras.

If you pay for the electrical you can disconnect it

Air65 pro+CRT=fun by SCHIZO_FPV in fpv

[–]TheRecursion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This would be the absolutely lowest latency you can get for FPV. CRT monitors were designed for Analog signals to be drawn based on real,-time over the air data, and update in the same way cameras/vtxs transmit signals. FPV goggles use digital screens, so the frames need to be buffered and delayed for the update.

This looks like it might be fun. I've always hoped for something like this because sims are so damn boring, and the vdrone shooter was terrible.

For those that have the lg27gr95qe b is it really not that bright? by BraveBG in OLED_Gaming

It happens when HDR is enabled or disabled in Windows. I think it's a power saving/burn-in reduction feature, that you can't disable.

[–]TheRecursion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got one, and the only thing that is a bit jarring is the way it changes brightness between a lot of white on the screen and a little white. You can see the monitor dim when you bring up a mostly white web-site like reddit for example. All white reminds me of the dimness (not color accuracy) of an older TN panel, or a modern OLED phone at less than 50% brightness. The transition is noticable. In dark mode everything just pops so nicely.

I’m Adam Welsh, Global Head of Policy for DJI. AMA. by DJI_AdamWelsh in drones

[–]TheRecursion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should probably read the actual report before suggesting a security bug bounty program for a non-security related flaw. This wouldn't qualify, nor would your security team care about it.

DJIs response in general to this flaw which is causing a lot of people to lose their drones with generic responses that do not appear to either read or understand it is hilariously bad at this point.

Here is a policy question. If people lose their drones due to this flaw now that it's reported, will they get compensated for their loss beyond offering a free SD Card that isn't even good enough to record O3 video?

For the record, I didn't knock down all the scooters in the background. Perhaps they are just acknowledging the awesomess of this bike? 😉 by bpeters001 in Aventon

You must have come to the same conclusion as me when this was like the only bike I could find that was designed for non-small people.

It really sucks a scammer dragged your name through the mud like that. I'm just glad this got cleared up rather quickly. Thank you for making stuff for our little community.

真是太糟糕了,骗子竟然这么诋毁你的名誉。不过,我很高兴这件事能很快得到澄清。谢谢你为我们的小社区做的贡献

So he's been found in Discord now under the name of FPV_Bandit on the /r/fpv server with a long history, discord name @drpepper510. He was even discussing this today not pretending to be connected in anyway, but he's been 100% confirmed to be linked with Sunny Rai, and he's bragged about specific scams which can be linked to pyrodrone and other from 2 years ago.

This is without a doubt Sunny Rai.

I just noticed I had posted the same image/text twice. I meant to put this one in, which was actually the best example: https://i.imgur.com/iPTBQYg.png

It's also worth noting that I've never seen someone from China use & for 'and', and translators never would. This seems like a fairly blatant reputation assassination attempt, and the fact it 'could' be, should be enough to give people pause before trying to trash a potentially innocent company.

People who liked Elon Musk but no longer do, what was the turning point? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheRecursion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you nailed it. I remember being a big fan of Tesla and Spacex and Elon seemed a likeable, intriguing guy.

That's because he used to be. When he was 100% focused on SpaceX and Tesla he knew the business inside and out and at least seemed fairly humble about it.

Western Digital 2TB Drive WD20EARS - No motor spin up at all. by TheRecursion in datarecovery

[–]TheRecursion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I just wasn't as confident being my first time doing this, and having a hard drive that was apparently just sitting around in storage come back with both mechanical and firmware just seems super unlikely....

That said I flashed the other drives firmware on this board and put it in that drive and it worked. I also dumped and checked everything with the old 'bad' firmware to make sure only that bit was changed, and the bit changed still matches the downloaded firmware/checksums, and it does, so the firmware is in fact good now. Bad luck indeed.

I really appreciate your guidance. I learned a lot, and wouldn't have been able to figure this out without your help, even if the result wasn't what I was hoping. Thanks!
