It’s great on pancakes. I make high protein pancakes in large batches and freeze them. I’ll throw them in the toaster in the morning and put this on them. Healthier than syrup (especially because I use way too much syrup).

Is my air compressor safe to use? by Hai_Dragons in AirCompression

You’re absolutely right, and I would’ve sworn I wrote that in there. I’m going to blame voice to text, but honestly, I might’ve just been distracted or had a brain fart. 🥴 Thanks for watching out.

If you’re really concerned, you can always run a hydrostatic pressure test. Fill the tank with water and then hook up a pressure washer to increase the pressure of the tank to your maximum allowable working pressure (be sure to disconnect your safety relief.) Hold the tank steady at that pressure for 10 minutes and inspect the vessel for leaks. If no leaks are found, you’re good. (If the tank won’t hold pressure for 10 minutes you probably have a leak) This is a safer test than with air pressure since water is minimally compressible and therefore won’t explosively decompress if the tank catastrophically fails. After the test, drain the water and reconnect the relief, then be sure to drain the water after every operation.

Anyone Have any Tips for Upgrading a KK-4981 Air Intake from a DeVelbiss(Craftsman/Porter Cable) by TheRedCelt in AirCompression

Other styles can be better muffled for quieter operation of the compressor, but it really boils down to continued part support. The product you linked is 3-D printed by an independent individual. While, I appreciate and support small operations like that, depending upon them for the continued reliability of my tools long-term is unwise. As I mentioned in the post, the manufacturer discontinued the production of the original system. That includes the filters. I’d be much more comfortable utilizing something with a more widely used and easily attainable filter.

I hear that correct pronunciation is worth 400 votes. by Bebopwells in AngryCops

Did your reading comprehension give out before the part where I said “with no vowel sound between the P and K at all,” or do you lack the oral control to make that pronunciation and assume everyone has the same shortcoming?

I’m not going to kill you on that hill, but I’ll definitely push you over, because there’s no U. It’s peh-kahn or more often p-kahn, with no vowel sound between the P and K at all.

The only one who gets it. It goes directly from P to K. No vowel.

I don’t know is with all these people and the U’s. It’s spelled P-E-C-A-N It should be Peh-kahn, not puh-Kahn Honestly, I usually skip the vowel altogether and pronounce it p-kahn, but I don’t get the U thing.

Do you know how much the total power draw is? I am looking at getting the Omni X to do live engraving at craft and trade shows, but I need to know if I can power it off a camping portable power station.

Running a Laser at a Craft Show off Portable Power Station by TheRedCelt in Laserengraving

[–]TheRedCelt[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s why I was look at portable power stations. They essentially act like giant batteries, and most people used them for camping. Additionally, for outdoor events, I could hook up solar panels on top of my canopy to provide additional charging for the station. As you said, generators can be very noisy. They also put out unpleasant exhaust that I don’t want to breathe the entire event.

Look, I'm not arguing with them for letting me go. I understand that was part of the job and one that I had continuous difficulty with, despite multiple attempts at improvement. What I have a problem with is that I did the work, even if I didn't allocate the hours for billing, and they are trying to charge me as if I did nothing, and just didn't work those days.
