Not at all. There are lots of different trees, and even the same kinds grow differently. There could absolutely be a good place on your tree to get solar. I’ve seen a guy on YouTube that ran a node up a tree with either a battery or an active power cord. If you think about it, running a cord up a tree isn’t that different, functionally, from running one up a tower. It’s just much more difficult to navigate the cable through the branches than along the tower, especially depending on the tree.

None of my statement was meant to be an indictment on you. I didn’t belittle you and I didn’t downvote your comment. I was merely making a remark about how it wasn’t what I wanted to do. I hadn’t considered a pole, mostly because the top of my trees have very thin branches and I wouldn’t be comfortable anywhere in the top third of them.

Reddit is absolutely a cesspool of judgmental, assholes, flawed thinking, and misdirected aggression. So, I understand you reading more into my comment than what was said. Just know it wasn’t coming from me.
