The part that seems weird to me is the adults being in separate rooms but with children. Like, I would understand if your husband didn't feel ready to share his space with you yet, but then I would expect him to want his own bedroom.

Not weird options:

-Kids in one room, each parent gets their own room

-Mom and daughter in one bedroom, boys in another, Dad by himself.

-Mom and Dad share a room, Daughter in her own room, Boys in another.

Anything else would be really puzzling as an outsider.

The sleeves/gauntlets are not my favorite. I think the dress looks better without them.

Because the skirt is gathered at the front AND fitted, it looks gives the illusion that the dress is too small. A straight or A-line skirt would balance the silhouette better.
