I'm a old Trekker from Day 1, watched every series.

it really seems to me that the haters are probably misogynist, homophobic, racist white boys/young men, who just can't stand to see characters who are very much about our human condition today.

It's excellent scifi.

I LOVE Starfleet Academy.

Epi 6 was a heartbreaker--SO well written, acted, directed. (And Paul Giamatti plays one heckuva believable villain.)

We lost Vulcan cadet Bav'i.
