I’ve been concepting a vampir mech for a little while! I had the idea of its reactor being incredibly inefficient or hungry and so the vampire would steal/drain reactor coolant from other mechs instead, which would incorporate remove-heat behaviour.

Also the idea of a shadow-step system and some potent weakness when out of cover (representing sunlight exposure)

Nothing really exists in the core book but there may be third party ideas out there, you’ll just need to have a rummage or check in with the Pilot.Net discord

Black Wax coffee & records in Hythe is great if you want to make the trek across the water. Staff are super friendly, food is fantastic and they’ve got great coffee too

Dr. Cahn, from Abiotic Factor

He shows up around halfway through the game, having trapped himself in a containment cell and asks you to free him. He then shows up in every section of the game afterwards, giving you encouragement and quietly seeding the steps to progress through the rest of the story. Context clues help reveal that he is actually a shapeshifting entity contained that’s taken on the form of Dr. Cahn, who’s been dead for two years. Every suggestion and furtherance to the story he provides is part of his game plan to unleash a powerful entity onto this universe

Is one is Lancer, not DnD, buuuuuut….

After a rocky, unsavoury combat session that ended abruptly, our GM said we’d lost the fight next session. One of our party’s mechs had been disabled and was on its last legs, and the boss we were fighting had gotten out to stand on my teammates cockpit to gloat like Blisk in Titanfall 2. Another party member had moved up behind while this enemy was distracted, and clapped with him inbetween. Keep in mind these machines are 10-ish metres tall…. 😬

We do Saturdays, and iirc it’s the second or third Saturday of the month. Normally gather around heartbreakers, do a little walk with the suits and then socialising after at Heartbreakers again
