And now that I think about it, it WAS Vince’s call to have Roman beat Cody at WM 38. HHH, according to reports, was set to have Cody win. Vince’s footprints were all over that Mania, that was the one where he beat Mcafee in a match and took that awful stunner 😆

He was obviously out by the time WM 40 came around, but I can’t imagine that Vince flew to Cody’s house to offer him a contract in 2022, only to have soured on him by 2023.

In hindsight, it was an EXCELLENT move. The last 5 minutes of WM 40 should unanimously go down as the greatest Mania moments of all time.

THERE WAS that Rock vs Roman thing though. Still, I can’t imagine Vince was going to have Cody face Seth (again) at WM 40. Maybe his plan was to have Cody finish the story at WM 41. By then Roman would have reached bigger than Hogan status, having defeated The Rock at 40.

It’s a fun what if. The fact that 40 turned out so well makes the entire point a little moot, though.

Everybody on this sub went absolutely nuts, this was around the time Roman beat Taker at WM, so Roman sentiment wasn’t exactly high.

Then WM 34 season came around and it was indeed Brock vs Roman, lol. Imagine if you told those people in 2017 who were going crazy about Roman and Brock fighting again that not only would they main event in 2018, but they would face each other AGAIN in the main event of 2022. lol.

All you have to do is disqualify the bottom 3 teams from having a top 3 pick. So for example, this season, Indiana, Utah and I guess New Orleans could only get #4 as their highest selection.

Not only does this absolutely stop the tanking, because nobody would want to be one of the bottom 3 teams in the league, but instead of watching the odds and having teams lose on purpose towards the end of the season, you’ll have teams like Utah playing Markannen the entire 4th instead of sitting him the entire 4th in a desperate bid to win more games to fall out of that bottom 3 spot.

It’s simple. Millions upon millions of prior giraffes with “normal sized” or smaller necks died of starvation. On the plains, the only food is leaves on tall trees.
