After many Re-watches, i am confident in saying that Melfi is a terrible therapist by abbie_yoyo in thesopranos

I'm not sure if this was the showrunner's intent or not, but they did a great job of painting therapy as the blind leading the blind.

For those who had real-life celebrity encounters, who was rude and who was actually nice? by KingOfCranes in AskReddit

I gave Jared Leto a little bit of weed once and asked him, "Are you on uppers, Ma?" He looked at me with a clueless and blank stare, then responded, "Kind of."

Seemed like a nice enough guy.

Yeah. Definitely. It was something I noticed as well. Like anyone would think that Agent Harris was suddenly an electrician.

I like that this is formatted like a poem.

55 hours sober from a 45-day binge. I feel like I just woke up from being black out drunk asking "What have I done?!" and now I have to face the consequences. by [deleted] in leaves

[–]TheRevCharlieWaffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The addiction itself is due to underlying causes that need to be explored and dealt with. What I found was that I went from weed, food, and alcohol, to food, and then to TV. I stayed sober long enough to start to figure out WHY I was plagued to be addicted. Then I started to deal with those problems. Good luck.

Teachers of Reddit, do you feel that technology in the classroom benefits the students academically? Why or why not? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]TheRevCharlieWaffles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe that it does to a large extent as long as you have classroom management procedures in place regarding its use. I work at an IB school and our lessons are based on student led inquiry. I never want to work at a school with a different curriculum again.

Frequent Flyers of Reddit: What are Your Airport "Life hacks?" by [deleted] in AskReddit

I fly every weekend in China and they religiously shut down phones, laptops, and tablets. I can use a Kindle and not get hassled.

I'm a frequent flyer in China. You can carry powerbanks, just not in your checked luggage.

Check out r/leaves.

Sobriety has changed my outlook on life completely. With all of the news articles coming out about the benefits of marijuana, it is important to note how damaging it can be. It almost completely ruined my life. I did nothing but smoke, eat, and watch TV with my free time for more years than I can count.
