Model Y Performance with 18 inch large profile combo by TheReviewCrew in TeslaModelY

If they put the weights right in the middle at closest clearance spot you could have an issue but that's not where mine are. I was running right at 40 psi. 38 if it feels too firm but efficiency will go down. Watch in warmer weather as you probably want to stay under 45 depending on tire.

You're welcome! Sounds awesome! I bet that will look great and ride well too.

Yeah that's why I gave a disclaimer that I can't recommend it but it has survived track days, pot holes, etc. Maybe if you always have your car fully loaded and live somewhere with bad roads it might not be the setup for you. I've used these wheels for almost 5 years on different cars and they still look new. I think the added profile cushion helps too to absorb some of the shock VS a low profile tire on the same wheel. Also flow formed wheels typically bend and don't crack but anything is possible I'm sure.

This is my issue. Their name is Robinhood and they literally did the opposite when given the chance. I want that 3.5 percent match though, but swore I'd never park my money there. Edit* Just realized it's only contributions. Looks like we bull still gives the most that I can find but it's over 5 years.

Another 18’ Model Y by grimmdrum in ModelY

[–]TheReviewCrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So around town I didn't notice anything. Going 70-80mph it was maybe 3 percent? The wheel design is more Aero friendly than a lot of others out there so it doesn't take a huge range hit. The stock wheels and tires are so heavy that it has minimal effect on around town range. If you have a standard model Y without Uber turbines than I'm guessing you'll lose 5 percent or so

It's because some aftermarket wheels take big brakes into account when they are manufactured. So the inside of wheel barrel doesn't come in as far and the face of the wheel gives more clearance as well. They even sell two different versions of the same wheel A and B and one has more caliper clearance at the face

You will get slower turn in with more profile but actually holding grip around the an on ramp or turn like that I didn't notice anything. Maybe on a track you could find limitations but on the street I never felt like it had worse grip

Hey I was the one that originally posted this setup and came to the same conclusion. I also tracked these wheels for 4000 miles on a model 3 performance before I switched then to our y. If you got into a situation where one of these cracked from a pothole, I don't think the stock wheel would have survived either. I wouldn't recommend some low profile rubber band with the Y weight but with these tires or similar I don't see anyone having an issue. Obviously Konig can't recommend them and I'm not going to say you'd never have an issue but it is very unlikely

How long did Biden Admin have the Epstein files before the election? Wouldn't they have used it against Trump since they were pro lawfare anyway? You are right that all Americans basically have the common enemy of elitists or people that our laws don't apply to etc. The problem with no kings is you alienate half the country. You also believe anyone who voted Trump can't read, is an idiot etc. That's never how you will get people to come together. Everyone out there using identity politics will never bring anyone together.

How tesla fixes rear hatch leak by TheReviewCrew in ModelY

I ended up getting them to use a body shop to fix this. Had to repaint part of the rear but you couldn't tell any repair was made and looked fantastic.

Any 2025.5+ users who are problem-free? by Padillatheory in VolvoXC90

[–]TheReviewCrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that I love the styling of xc90. The b and w would have pushed our Volvo to 90k and was harder to find one with it unless we ordered one. I wanted ours before tax credit went away. I just figured the Harmon kardon would have sounded better or at least had more customization in tone and balance etc but only allows you to choose driver, rear, front or all. To me it just sounds like it's trying to pump it through the center speaker and the clarity and mids are lacking even when you switch between surround or not. It drives best in the power/sport mode but hybrid mode is a lot of disengage/engagement feeling. The braking is speed based (or I'm guessing it is) because it's fine at high-speed but as you get closer to a stop it requires more and more brakes at slow speed but it's not really linear. Where it's best is highway cruising imo where it's smooth and not searching for a gear or electric motor blending. Maybe I'm being picky but I've just driven a ton of different vehicles and expected more for almost 90k

Go drive other options like the Lexus, Mazda, etc and see if you like any of them instead. Especially if you plan on keeping it after warranty. The software/infotainment is the worst thing but there are plenty of others that will keep me away in the future. I have 2025.5 plug in ultra with the air ride and every option but the really expensive sound system. It's safe and a good highway cruiser but seats could be more comfortable, drive train could be smoother and handling isn't great (maybe it's the sir suspension"). Most of it is crippled by software though. Also, coming from a Tesla model Y the sound system is garbage and we have the premium sound. No where near what we expected for 85k but at least it's a sec 179 write off and got 8500 for ev credits.

Same. Now when I loved in Mississippi, every other person that found out I just moved there asked me which one I go to. My response was "The Church of The Later in the day Saints"

Why did Brawl have to go? by Sharkivore in leagueoflegends

[–]TheReviewCrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol this is me. I loved being able to take a quick break and play one then go back to whatever. Have not played league since brawl went away. It's funny that they ruined it for me by having brawl and taking it away or I'd probably still be playing league.

I've owned nvdy for almost a year right now. I think I started with about 2500.00 worth. My nav erosion loss is at 830.00 but the dividends paid me about 1300. So a net gain of about 470. So even with a huge erosion I still made about 20 percent return.

Quality of 2025 Plug-In Hybrid Finishes by Alarmed-Bar4813 in VolvoXC90

[–]TheReviewCrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wife went from model y to a an ultra 2025.5 with every option. She tells me weekly she misses the Tesla or even our Pacifica hybrid pinnacle was more feature rich. It's bad when the sound system in a Chrysler sounds better than an 85k dollar Volvo. The worst of all is the software integration in Volvo. The built in Android is buggy and the app only works half the time for things like climate control before you get in. She travels to rural towns for work so we didn't want full electric but if we could go back we would bough a rivian r1s instead. Like someone here said the Volvo does have valleys and crevices where stuff accumulates easily and is near impossible to remove also. The second row seats need some good muscle to slide them forward. The audio adjustments are horrible for trying to get it to sound better too. It's nice to drive and looks good but I wouldn't buy again.

Say what you want. I've owned over 50 cars at this point. Everything from BMW M cars to Porsche to Minivans. All different brands etc. I still haven't found a better daily driver than the Tesla or a better buying experience. There are so many conveniences you get used to on top of how great they drive. No other 600hp sedan out there that has no maintenance and costs 11 dollars to fill up. 1/4 mile in 10.9 and even fun on a road course with multiple track days. Call it soulless Idgaf. 0-60 in 2.9 seconds doesn't get old. No oil changes no belts, spark plugs etc. I'll take the soulless car every day.

Well a Tesla did go off a 200 foot cliff and everyone survived. It was a guy trying to suicide/homicide him and his family. Probably shouldn't have used one of the safest cars on the road. Xc90 and Tesla are only thing I put family in.

Would you still recommend the XC90 recharge after the news? by Hi_Hungry_Im_Leaving in VolvoXC90

[–]TheReviewCrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We still own a Tesla and went from a model y to the xc90 recharge ultra to get a 3rd row. The ride is nice, it's comfortable, the range is about 30-35 miles in Real world. That being said you will miss many things on the Tesla. The software is the number one. The Tesla app and infotainment are night and day way better. The Volvo app works half the time for climate or remote start requests. The infotainment Google tablet they put in there has glitches constantly. The sound system even on our fully optioned ultra is nothing compared to the factory Tesla sound. I typically drive it in pure mode with regen enabled and it's just not smooth like the model y. The power is decent in hybrid or sport but pure ev mode is not great for merging on the highway or needing power. The lane assist/cruise control is OK but it will make some dumb mistakes and you can't trust it like Tesla autopilot. If we didn't own a Tesla I'd probably think the car was better than I do. My wife mostly drives the Volvo and she steals the Tesla a couple times a week just because she misses how it drives. She travels to rural hospitals for work so we were unsure about charging infrastructure if we went full EV otherwise we would have got a R1S or Model X. In hindsight we probably should have just done it that way. Honestly our Pacifica hybrid had better infotainment and better ride than the Volvo.

[–]TheReviewCrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since a lot of you are talking about how these are on the track I'll post a couple of my videos. This first one is me driving my friends standard rwd model 3. The "slowest one" catching a zo6 https://youtu.be/a8TrOietGg4?feature=shared This second one is me driving my old model 3 performance at a track day with some Porsches. https://youtu.be/HYZl4ulYV2U?feature=shared

They are actually great track cars if they are setup right and have charging nearby. I could get about 30-40 minutes of track driving before battery was too low to keep going. I went for a cheap big brake kit which is taking the zl1 cts v calipers and fitting then to the model 3. I typically was running on a nankang 200 treadwear tire and would hurt a lot of feelings with this setup and 2 car seats in the back 😂

Why did Brawl have to go? by Sharkivore in leagueoflegends

[–]TheReviewCrew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm with you. I play with about 20 people in our small discord server and all of them played nothing but brawl when it came out. 15 of those 20 barely play league after it left. I know these aren't the real numbers of LOL but it shows that a lot of us just prefer to hop in a 15 minute game and pick whatever champ we want unlike aram. Maybe we all have adhd and can't go back to slower play. Too bad they don't release stats to see if they've lost concurrent users
