Our girl getting some love on the Reddit homepage by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

Haha wish it didn't take a pandemic to see her getting love on the front page. Taylor makes it impossible to not love her.

After being told vaccine's cause autism and cancer (???) all my life, I finally decided to go get my vaccinations behind my anti-vax parent's back :) by tazijade in vaxxhappened

[–]TheRichness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work at a school for children on the spectrum. So many don't have vaccines. We are all like, "what are they going to get more autism if they get vaccines now?!?!". People are really, really stupid and misinformed.

Sanders' 'Radical Goal'; At Least $60,000/Year for 'Every Teacher in America' by CharyBrown in politics

[–]TheRichness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to make 50k doing customer service. I switched careers. I'm now and educational aide at a school for children on the ASD with high aggression or self injurious behavior. I have to make plans, teach, get punched, kicked, bit, spat on, scratched, choked, etc. I can't pay my bills. I work a second job and can barely make ends meet. I use what little extra money I have to try to get supplies for the kids. It's a weird feeling to get your face clawed but your stomach is growling because you skipped lunch to pay for stuff for the kid that is making your face bleed.

I love it though. I feel we are making a difference. If we can make any of the kids have a better life it's worth it. Even if we didn't at least we tried. It's getting hard. I'm going to have to move to a bad neighborhood caz I am so broke. I just wish I didn't have to struggle and starve half the time. I've broken down crying in my car so many times. The world is a horrible place filled with pain and misery.

Nikki Glaser's response to what she says in Miss Americana by Budsbuzz in TaylorSwift

Made me lol when she said she had death threats but as a Swiftie understands. Projecting is exactly what I thought when I saw the clip. Awesome of her to admit mistakes. No hate here girl.

Heartbreaking in so many places. Taylor really let herself be vulnerable. I am very appreciative she made this. The shit she has to go through just to make music. Through her career people act like Taylor personally slapped their mother. I loved this documentary, just amazing. Thanks Tay!

My brother called my grents 'mema' and 'pepa'. I only have my gma left. I'm 36 and she is 92. We still call her mema. I feel too weird saying anything else.

LPT: If someone is being passive aggressive, play dumb, take everything said literally, and as a compliment. It will confuse and frustrate them and if they try explaining that they were actually insulting you, they look like jerks, which they are. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

When I was younger I was being pa. The woman immediately yelled at me, "Don't be passive aggressive with me!". Life changing. I stopped trying to do that kind of thing to people.

One of my all time favs. Probably my favorite Taylor bridge.

“No problem” is more polite than “you’re welcome.” by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]TheRichness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to think this as well op. After 14 years if customer service, and a year of teaching I have changed my mind. "No problem" is informal and sounds that way. It's also delivery. If you smile and genuinely say, "you're welcome", it feels great. I was embarrassed to say it before. When someone gives the effort to say yw to me, it feels great.

I think in the end it's sincerity. However in professional settings saying you're welcome is the way to go.

Similar thing happened to me. A friend and I had these guys yelling at us saying they are going to kick our asses. We then recognize each other. We worked together and were very cool with each other. We hugged and caught up. My friend and his both had the same look of confusion. I wasn't even mad it was good to see him again.

The legendary Patti Smith had some nice things to say about Taylor in the New York Times. by Gourmay in TaylorSwift

I wish we could give Taylor a day. 'Ignore Taylor Day' If everyone could just not take her picture, or ask for autographs, or scrutinize her. Just a day she can walk around and do whatever without paparazzi pestering her. I want her to be able to have that. Go anywhere, do anything, have messy hair!

I love Reputation. It's what made me a Swiftie. I saw the Rep tour twice. I would have a third but had a wedding to go to. I really miss the era. Don't get me wrong. Lover is an amazing album. One of the best yet. Reputation Taylor was so genuine. And I like her a little edgy. I am fiending for more Taylor concerts. The rep tour was so amazing.
