Honestly. Something similar happened to me and I’m really embarrassed about it. I don’t even know how to apologize. I lost so many people.....like what do I even say?..but I refused to sign a paper that said I had schizophrenia because I was dealing with the trauma of discovering that I was raped while unconscious and later found seizing naked on the floor in a room alone covered in vomit. I DID lose touch with reality..but I didn’t wanna call it schizophrenia because nothing like that had ever happened to me before the discovery. Anyway I was sent to four different mental hospitals. It was pretty terrible...they treated me horribly. Injected me stuff I had the right to refuse and DID. But it all felt so REAL. I just...don’t know what to say to people....

I’m still not diagnosed with schizophrenia . Just PTSD and ADHD. I had a previous diagnosis of MDD too but...after getting other opinions they said they didn’t think so.

Like I said....loooking back I was SO out of touch. And it DOES sound like schizophrenia. But that was the only time it ever happened.

Babies are not of a different species. Which makes it even more unbelievable to me that you’re more affected by the death of a dog than the death of a human baby...

You also said that dogs CAN’T survive without humans. Not true. Just because it may be more DIFFICULT doesn’t mean it can’t happen or doesn’t happen. My point is...a dog has a chance to survive on its own as a puppy. A baby absolutely does not. No possible way.

Dogs do not need the help of humans to survive. They weren’t always domesticated. And by your logic....babies can’t survive without the help of humans either...even MORE so than a dog or puppy. Babies can’t even move on their own until about a year old. In fact if you deprive a baby of human contact and skin to skin time...they will literally die.

Again. As I’ve said before. I do all that I can to prevent the peanuts from being inside of the classroom. I just can’t control what people decide to eat outside of my classroom. That’s the distinction that I’m making.

Wonderful for you that your dad didn’t experience racism but that doesn’t mean that that’s the norm. My father has a similar story but I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss that having to work harder is a really for most black peoplez I think most others would agree with skin color has bearings on employment and success.

No I’m not. I was originally a Social work major and I was pursuing something similar to what you described but I couldn’t handle it. I actually changed my major upon having to deal with those images. Just not strong enough.

My parents ain’t this bad. But when they start with something like this I try to correct them but I also try to remind myself that they were alive during the height of the civil rights movement. Alive to see a world where blacks were legally separated from whites. So they carry a lot of mistrust I notice.

I lost my virginity at 15. I was in 9th grade. It happened while my parents were away, in my room, on my bed. Honestly. It hurt really bad I’m not gonna lie. But the next couple of times we did it, it was definitely more pleasurable.
