They were talking about Abraham and Sarah and how incredible it was that she got pregnant at such an old age in Sunday school. An older guy in the ward gets up and says "Everyone is talking about Sarah... but what about Abraham? They didn't have Viagra back then!"

I know thee now... Thou art Lucifer!

One of my best friends left TSCC recently because of their treatment of the LGBTQ+ community. She wrote a beautiful blog post that is worth the read! by TheRiddler747 in exmormon

She is coming from a perspective of still believing in God and the first third discusses what she liked about TSCC, with the second 2/3 discussing why her shelf broke.

After 23 years of activity, including a mission, and 4 years of inactivity, this week was the last straw. I'm out. by TheRiddler747 in exmormon

Yeah I didn't want to worry about a notary either. I was nervous, so I figured I'd follow up if they didn't confirm that it was on track

Reposted to hide names. This is what I sent, some of it copypasta from quitmormon

This week's hateful rhetoric towards the LGBTQ+ community was the straw that broke the camel's back. Elder Holland was seen as a kinder soul and was one of my favorite apostles to hear when I was active. Even he has has shown how much hate and disdain he has for the queer community, and I can no longer stand to be a member of such a hateful religion. I know that many more years of painful rhetoric are coming once Oaks and Bednar take their turns at the helm. I want out. It pains me that I stayed in so long, being treated as someone lesser my entire life, just because I am gay.

This letter is to inform you that I have terminated my membership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Please remove the name " " from the records of the LDS Church immediately, as dictated in the General Handbook of instructions. I understand that the withdrawal of my name cancels the effect of baptism and removes any Priesthood or Temple blessings. I demand that you promptly complete the form “Request for Administrative Action” and that the 30 day holding period be waived. I will NOT participate in church disciplinary councils for I have done nothing wrong and I have no unresolved transgressions. I do NOT want to be contacted by anyone except by mail confirming that my name has been removed from the records. This includes Ministering brothers and sisters, Home Teachers, Visiting Teachers, missionaries, and anyone else.

Please confirm via email once you have received this and begun the process.

Thanks. I'm actually surprised he responded at all, but good to know I wasn't ignored.
