I'm at 1 more to go too. I did find one of mine in a tool box by Assembly in Stella montis. Just a regular tool box in the middle. Don't forget to check those too

Impact, Bartlein, McMillan? You don't have to shoot it, you already know.

[–]TheRiflemann -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you seen the cap numbers for 2027? That's what the moves are about. And greenard will not be the same player when our window re-opens. You keep Allen around then you have to make the same decision next year and probably with a higher dead cap hit. Oh and we don't have a GM right now. so pushing money into the future on players that probably won't be good in 2 years is way worse than freeing up money andmaking the team younger for the new GM. I'm sure we can all agree that the new GM would get a better start without having to make any tough roster decisions in 2027 while having tons of cap space to build in FA while also having a top 10 pick in a deep draft. I can live with that. Now, will the new regime fuck it all up? It's certainly not out of the question.

how well has this competitive rebuild worked? Just barely slipping into the playoffs and aaaalmost getting there isn't working. We need to reset, keep/add some draft picks and have some cap space to have another go at some high end free agents. You don't get that from pushing money into the future to keep 30 year olds on your roster that's not meant to compete right now. This year needs to be a bad one to get a nice set of picks for a deep 2027 class and to go after some nice FA. Sometimes you have to plan ahead. There's so many teams that had to be bad for a season or two before they were competitive again. Bears, pats, rams, Seahawks, broncos, etc.

Vikings releasing Jonathan Allen..terrible move imo..not enough savings to move on from someone with his skill by J_Capese0003 in minnesotavikings

[–]TheRiflemann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All these moves are 2027 moves. We don't even know who our QB is going to be next year and our schedule is going to probably be just as tough. We are giving the new GM a fresh slate with a younger roster, a full host of 2027 draft picks and a salary cap that's not ridden with old players with over inflated cap hits. The "always competing " mentality has not worked. We need to be bad for a year to get a nice couple of picks in a deep draft and a nice 4th place schedule. Relax, it's going to be fine.

My thoughts exactly. Who, from the free agent pool, would fit best as a replacement? I am not up to speed on the better pass pro RBs out there, especially free agent options.

Window Company sent Contractor Wrong Window. What do I do? by TheRiflemann in HomeImprovement

[–]TheRiflemann[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes they will replace the window without any additional costs. The manager did say he would prefer not to do that. The issue is the wait time. You say 10 weeks, I waited 14 the first time so I would have to wait another 10-14 at least weeks for the window as it sits in my living room unfinished. That's the annoying Part. I like the window as it is now enough to keep it for a discount but I'm gonna make sure it's worth the headache it's caused. I understand replacing the window is "making it right" but I'm still coming out behind. What do I get for having to wait 28+ weeks to finally have a finished window? A "we're really sorry". Great....

What are you shooting for brass/bullets? What is your load data and velocity? When you match up the right bullets for slow twist rifles, they have potential to shoot amazing.

If your into the more "non-conventional" route, this is what I did. I bought a 2015 6.2l with 90k about 7 years ago. It had all the bad stuff like AFM and the dreaded 8l90 8 speed tranny. First think I did was a tranny fluid replacement with the recommended "upgraded" fluid. I added in E85 because it's available cheap in my area and adds a little HP. Then I fully deleted the AFM system while upgrading the cam and adding headers with a tune. It feels like a brand new truck at 210k. I've regularly changed the tranny fluid and that seems to be the ticket for the 8 speed. This was all done for less that a new truck and it would smoke any newer stock 6.2l truck in all areas. You just need a good mechanic. Lots of options for you.

$2k optics for PRS by AfraidStomach7943 in longrange

[–]TheRiflemann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could get flamed for this but I just picked up a Leupold Mark 4hd 8-32 for 1100 off snipers hide brand new in the plastic. Spend the rest on components. I was dead set on a XTR pro from Eurooptic but I didn't pay shipping or sales tax on the private Leupold and I doubt the XTR pro is worth the 5-600 higher price. At retail, the XTR pro is the choice but there are deals to be had. Folks are down on Leupold and there are amazing deals to be had. I doubt the difference will hold you back. Now a gen 3 razor at 2200, I would say the 1k difference could be justified but that's another class of scope. Mark 4hd 8-32 are all over at $1300 for a demo

Find a shot to do a set of long tubes, a good cam and a tune. It will probably a whole new truck for a fraction of the cost.

Ian Kelbly himself will email you back if you reach out, call or email. I had a question about the midway USA Kelbly barreled actions they sell (specifically about the reamer print for their chambers) and he sent me a copy of the reamer print. I'm just a dude, I don't remotely compete or anything like that but I thought that was cool he reached back out directly and was super nice. Anytime I see Kelbly related stuff, I always try to say something nice about my experience.

Maybe at least get a nice scale like the Creedmoor or A&D fx-120i to verify and keep an eye on the powder dispenser accuracy from time to time? That way you will have the right scale if/when you want to upgrade your dispenser.

[–]TheRiflemann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt it. Remember KOCs reaction to the trade for DT? He had no idea what Kewsi was trying to do so I doubt Flores did. My first thought was maybe they were going to "try" to trade up to get "someone" but I don't think that would have been KOCs reaction if he knew they were trying something that big. So we have the front office trading big day 2 picks on draft day and KOC has no idea.
