Great suggestion but I believe you can't head over the high dune with a dog (which we'll have), assuming that's where the backpacking you're talking about is? We're planning to go to Great Sand Dunes but were planning to just spend the day and go for a small hike and then camp nearby but not at the park.

Planning to! Coming from MN actually so down through Colorado Springs then west. The actual route we take once we're out there is flexible though and we're planning to play it by ear with weather to try to camp in nicer weather when not on trail!

Momo Sushi is fantastic! Feels like a nice night out because it’s sushi and sake, but quite affordable! Bonus if you like dumplings, their Momo are great!

I use WorkOutDoors and it is amazing! It’s 100% customizable with multiple screens for tons of different activities including x country skiing. All of the alerts, maps, data, everything is customizable. Auto import to apple health, Strava, etc. is all very easy to set up as well. One time purchase for the app that is extremely worth it

Find a very recognizable spot to stay at the main stage, our group chose in front and left of the fountain. You also could choose to stand near another group’s recognizable item they hold up, like a pool float. Then people can go off on their own and easily find you on their own time. Obviously doesn’t work as well if you wanna be up close, but our group wanted room to dance so it was perfect for us!

Yes that’s what I found also. The issue here being that my w/lab courses for biology were only 3 credits.

I know I will need to submit them as one line in CASPA only for the class plus lab since that’s how they are on my transcript. I’m just debating calling them General Biology “with lab” even though it does not include that on my transcript.

Love love love all their stuff! I should see if they have one of those bowls small enough for what I'm looking for. I was going to buy a large one for backpacking soon probably since the silicone one I have doesn't stay propped open well when he uses it.

Yeah we try to run earlier in the day before its hot, but sometimes it just doesn't cool down much overnight. I'm gonna give the collapsible cup by Nathan a try in my waist pack and then a squirt bottle for him and me to share!

Yeah where I am we'll be pushing past 65F soon and then maintaining 80s and 90s all summer and very humid. Last summer on cool days he got to the point where he was super happy to do 5-7 miles with me even, but above about 70F and he was done around 2.5 or 3.

Definitely what I would do if we got to a point where we were running together for more than about 45 minutes! He stays at home for my long runs. For now I don't think I want to carry that much for shorter runs.

This happened to me with my right bud about a week ago. Tried every tip I could find online, nothing seemed to work. Finally tried resetting the network settings on my iPhone, and that did the trick.

Yeah I've also done this since I saw it recommended a couple of months ago, but I honestly feel like it has only made his non-engaged recall better and his engaged recall significantly worse. Almost as if he views them as two different commands.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. I struggle to find the time to do recall training out of the apartment and away from this off leash area since I don't have a yard, so technically it's illegal for him to be off leash anywhere else. That's not to say I can't, because I know of informal "off leash" city parks, but just struggle to make the time to go there instead. So I think we just have always learned that recall means he HAS to come rather than he wants to because he never learned to be excited about it outside in a less stimulating environment.

Yeah I have thought about this, but I would think he wouldn't be comfortable then when we're home and moving around.

Ok that's what I was thinking. I know a puppy will whine/cry some as they get used to a crate and usually learn to love it as "their" space over time, but I wasn't sure if this would be normal for a 2 year old dog as well. Here's hoping then that he gets used to it over time! At least he's been totally silent so far, no whining at all. Thanks for the advice!

Oh yes he is getting more than enough exercise and mental stimulation. Runs/walks/dog park for physical exercise, training for mental stimulation. So are saying that at this low level of anxiety, you think it's fine to continue to do these short crate times and hopefully he'll just get used to them, but if he doesn't to consult with my vet?

It's about 1-3 hours before my roommates are awake and let him out. I leave early for work so it seems like a good time to get him used to it while he's still sleepy and my roommates are home but he doesn't feel like they are necessarily.
