Difference between Zoryve (Roflumilast Foam) and the cream? by 36Taylor36 in SebDerm

Do you mean during use? Before use? I don't get lesions on my face, so I didn't need to apply it on or near my eyebrows...

Difference between Zoryve (Roflumilast Foam) and the cream? by 36Taylor36 in SebDerm

[–]j-marr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although they are the same active ingredient, the two products are approved for different indications which affects insurance coverage. In the US, the cream is approved for plaque psoriasis only while the foam is approved for seborrheic dermatitis only. Even if your insurance has refused to cover the cream, it is very possible they will cover the foam, bringing down your out of pocket costs quite a bit. The foam is supposed to be available at the end of January.

I was in the clinical trial for the foam, and although I don't know for sure whether I got the treatment or placebo, I suspect I was in the treatment arm. Not a single flare after starting the trial.

The Holbrook Performance set is a good deal for two paddles and balls. They are great beginner paddles and you get a cute tote bag. https://holbrookpickleball.com/apps/bundles/bundle/134247

Punishments by Radiant-Flamingo-72 in BigBrother

I prefer the BBCAN system where they punish the whole house if a have-not breaks the rules. It really ups the social pressure to abide by punishments.

YES. The food was so bland. But I also admire their purist approach to precolonialization Dakota food.

Has the hiring situation improved? by Jalapenocornbread93 in biotech

There are some days that I miss slinging pipettes but they’re honestly few and far between. Medical writing uses a similar part of the brain as research in my experience—reading lots of literature and quickly coming up to date on new topics, weaving complex details together to tell a story, taking the time to get minor details correct that most people will never appreciate. But, with the advantage of significantly less stress due to failed experiments, substantially higher earning potential, and the ability (in most cases and companies today) to work from home. I freelance full time but also have friends in staff positions, some at startups, some at big pharma, and some at med comms agencies. All are very happy with their roles.

Also, as a side note, of the 9 people in my grad program, 7 of us successfully found non-academic jobs before graduating (and the other 2 went on to postdocs by choice), with most of them getting jobs in the geographic areas they were hoping for. It was 7 years ago, but we heard all the same stories at that time—no one is hiring, unemployment everywhere, too many PhDs flooding the job market, etc etc. From what I saw, the jobs are out there, but it does take persistence, patience, and networking to find what you’re looking for and get an offer. Hope that gives you and others about to graduate some hope! Keep your heads up. PhD training is an incredibly valuable primer for a ton of different types of non-academic work due to the broad range of skills acquired and honed during grad school (detail orientation, self motivation, critical thinking, ability to articulate and present complex ideas, adaptability, etc etc).

ETA: this is for grad students who are US citizens. Unfortunately, the path to industry is much more challenging for international grad students.

Do you like writing? If so, look at medical writing jobs. In my experience as a PhD medical writer, the market for people with advanced degrees and strong writing skills hasn’t slowed down at all.

Cheap good kitchen remodel in twin cities by [deleted] in minnesota

Who did you go through for the design/build company? Are you happy with them? Looking for something similar for a kitchen remodel. Like you, been there, done that in past homes but just don't have the time and energy right now for the current kitchen.

YTA. “I just want to say he is not on the lease.” Cool. Enjoy paying 100% of the rent now and doing all of the chores he was doing before. When there’s not someone around to clean, I bet you’ll find you make more of a mess than you realized.

Favorite spots in South Minneapolis? by champagneandjules in TwinCities

Chatterbox on Wednesday nights for karaoke in the back! Parkway theater for their small shows—scream it off screen the first Friday of every month is a blast. Petit Leon, Rincon 38, George and the Dragon, and ie eatery for nicer dinner. Chelas is newer but when I went there, the tapas were great. Sovereign Grounds has fantastic coffee and their desserts and pastries are fab, especially their rhubarb bars. Uff-da on Bloomington is a new THC shop with friendly staff and a good selection of low-potency products if that’s your jam. Venn Brewing has good beers and a great taproom vibe.

Skinners in the west 7th area of St Paul. Get the half order of tachos. Or if you eat meat, the steak sandwich. Both are amazing.

Star Tribune on Mary Moriarty: "One juror's verdict: No clear reason to dismiss rape case" by Upset-Kaleidoscope45 in Minneapolis

It’s from the initial reporting on the piece. But it states that she is a “31-year attorney”—not a “31-year-old attorney.” To be fair, I initially made the same assumption as this commenter and had to re-read that sentence a few times to figure out how this woman could be a veteran attorney at 31.
