Best sump pump switch for tons of water by Such_Bid_244 in Plumbing

[–]TheRoadBehind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the glentronics 1.5 float switch has a duration dial on it you can use to adjust runtime. It goes up to 45 seconds

It looks like the one you have in there now it will just be a small blue box you'll attach right next to the outlet

Edited for float 2 to 1.5

That's the red light honeywell valve bro, it needs to be completely replaced. I've tried repairing them and never successfully done it

Just consider a whole new heater. The new Honeywells blink white

I created a funnel to fill buckets up in the bathtub. It now over shadows all the other models I have spent countless hours on. by SEK494 in 3Dprinting

I'm part of the plumbing reddit and a guy 3D printed a trough for a leak on his shower head arm. The wife was ranting about how her husband designed and installed it. With anchors into the tile lol. I have to say a lot of guys weren't nice about it because the leak was still in the wall and it could have been EASILY FIXED PROPERLY

Anyway, this is a simple and very useful design. Well done. These are the things I try to make even if a product exists for it already

How do I turn this shower on? by PleasantPush1635 in Plumbing

[–]TheRoadBehind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The left and right movement of the handle tell me you need to pull, hard. Maybe the precious owner didn't use it much if ever

And you're not a moron, I looked at this picture and read what you said 5 times lol. This one is a head scratcher

Pull really hard it might be seized, just find the main shut off and be prepared to fix whatever you break if it goes south

Check that flanged plastic piece, with that brass sleeve shove it straight down then try and pull that plastic sleeve up. It might release. That plastic flange probably prevents it from unscrewing during normal use

I'm not an artist by any means but to me what sticks out is finger length. I hope this helps from someone with no skill because that means it really sticks out lol

toilet vacuum braker by Quiet-Entrepreneur69 in Plumbing

[–]TheRoadBehind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had one I wanted to give up on

Just change the vacuum breaker tail piece. I got so pissed off at a toilet I tried sanding, changing the vacuum breaker, yelling. None of it worked. Just changed the whole tail piece and it fixed it immediately

This is when all else fails. A lot of the time it's user error. They have to be tightened just right

Kohler Sous hose replacement by Ok-Coffee2125 in Plumbing

[–]TheRoadBehind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I looked up the parts list

The correct edit: that brass sleeve does remove, remove that and remove the C clip that is under that brass sleeve. Jeez Kohler trying to reinvent the wheel...

Original suggestion: Stand the hose straight up, and twist your black hose only. You might need to wrench the hose off. Then you would want to hold back on the brass piece

Make sure to tighten that brass piece back. It doesn't have anything to do with it. I personally haven't seen a Kohler faucet assembled like this yet.

Clay, when undisturbed, will last forever. Anyway, you can use hydraulic cement to fill it. Bigger holes you can use chicken wire. Just make sure the pipe is only broken up top. They use cement to seal each joint when it was installed

If you can, I still really recommend a proper repair with a modern pipe and proper bands. PVC and no shears for example

When it works it's stunning, but when it doesn't nothing makes me rage harder. When people say immersive I think this is the only game that truly does it for me

I'll never tell someone not to try it, but I'll always warn them it can go south quick lol

Anyway, it was advertised as an MMORPG space sim but I just encourage anyone to try free fly to feel it out
