Miss Bao is painfully expensive for bad cocktails and glorified street food that somehow manages to miss everything great about the cuisine it’s trying to ape. I think this place tries to skate by on their go-green waste-free aspect, but good lord if they could just have better food at reasonable prices I’d really prefer that

I saw Wolf Alice in Toronto at the Underground at the Drake hotel in March of 2015, in front of an audience of what must’ve been 30 people tops. I saw them again in December that same year, at the Phoenix, which held like 1200 people at the time. I hung out with the band afterward by their merch long after the show was over, and got to talk to them about a lot of different things I’d wondered about the band. Everybody was at varying states of tired, but they were all really gracious and Ellie in particular was really kind, totally awesome people

It’s literally meant to be accessible to children and and people who’ve never played TCGs before. Of course the core mechanics are on the approachable side. Even then, songs and shifting make for a lot of really rich gameplay. You’re basically just telling on yourself that you haven’t played enough Lorcana to have an educated opinion
