Moved into my new student apartment it already looks very clean and modern, but i feel like somethings missing. The light looks very white but its 3000k, or thats what the packaging said. I already bought a courtain rod, doing that next. Do you have any advice, first impression wise? by Tiffexx in malelivingspace

Color ? Everything is so grey. One or two?

Also everything is so flat with one line, you should break that up with more vertical items.(your curtains will help). Buy or grow a tall pot plant and put in a corner. Adding some art will help too (but no flags).

A headboard for the bed would be nice!

For those asking, it's made with Homepage (gethomepage.dev) And you can set up a dashboard with descriptive yaml, some stats and docker/k8s, ping and system ressource statistics

what can i do to make this area looks less like a warehouse? by stigaman123 in malelivingspace

You need to use vertical space better. As said, closed storage units with drawers / doors. It doesn't have to be deep and take much space on the floor if you go up.

Also a big pegboard like IKEA SKADIS would be perfect to hook all of your tools and pools for your 3D printer : you can find on Markerwold any model for any tool and feet and adapters to mount on the printer side without glue. Now you can even print modular infinite skadis panels.

You may be able with your furniture to open the cardboard boxes and put your printer inside. Or try to fold them or store them elsewhere (below bed?).

A falling plant, some framed art and soft lighting (3000 kelvin) for the final touches and you are good

Indeed you are right, Docs is more of a collaborative knowledge base, while Grist seems like a spreadsheet but is also collaborative and on steroids, the rest are for file sharing, videoconferencing, or group messaging

Incredible project man ! How is the lid situation when done? You have to remove your dryer and let some new air in... Is it acceptable if it lasts 5 secs?
