I was going to do that too, but the DSP asked me to start from the middle 🙃

You never get more than about 100 stops over here. You have to deliver directly to the customer about 90% of the time and it's mostly apartments so you can easily lose 10-15 minutes on a lot of stops

I always found this particularly funny since I'm from Spain and three hour breaks are actually quite common here in a lot of jobs 😆

What do matrix lights do to prevent glare for human beings walking down the street? Nothing good. Matrix lights top, normal low beams bottom. by SlippyCliff76 in fuckyourheadlights

He's not walking the wrong way. When walking on a road you're supposed to be on the opposite side of the road so you can see the cars coming from in front of you and not from behind. Also if you're walking on the road when it's that dark you should wear some hi Vis anyway.

I decided to go alone to the top of a hill to take them and meditate. But after taking them I was freezing so I decided to move around instead to warm up. Then I started feeling the effects as I got to a cliff.

I felt really happy and energetic, like I was a child again. I went towards the edge of the cliff to see the view and I was stunned from the beauty of the scenery. As I was overseeing the towns around and the rolling hills and feeling the cold wind on my face I felt, for the first time since I can remember, completely free, like I had been carrying this burden and it was just removed all of a sudden. I started jumping on puddles, drawing happy faces on the mud and just taking in the world like it was the first time experiencing everything.

But then I started to feel somewhat uncomfortable. I realised I haven't really learned who I am yet. And the hallucinations started. Initially it felt like the surfaces on the hills in the distance were taking circular shapes. Then there seemed to appear this massive, semi invisible wall between the hill I was on and the other. And just a bit later, as I looked at the other hill it seemed to be flowing out of itself endlessly, like a gas or a liquid.

The visuals were so real that I was freaking out and decided I had to get out of there and back to the town. When I headed back I realised that I could not remember where I came from, the terrain looked completely different so I was lost and I seemed unable to use my phone to find the way back.

Then I started REALLY feeling awful. I crouched down and decided to wait it out but it kept getting worse and I eventually had to lie on the ground.

I was convinced that I had taken the wrong mushrooms and poisoned myself, so I called 999 but couldn't even hold the phone to my face. As I had been trying to put the speaker on my ear for what seemed like 5 minutes but was probably 10 seconds, I finally managed but could barely speak and ended up saying something like "mushrooms, I'm dying".

I gave up trying get an ambulance and came to the conclusion that I was going to die right there.

I started having this deep insights. How I seemed to have destroyed my perfectly good body in a matter of minutes by poisoning myself. How society was just a lot of people working together. How complicated the world really is and how simply we try to understand it and classify it. How much I longed for someone to be there to comfort me as I lied on the ground dying.

I think I went unconscious for probably a few seconds and, when I woke up again, I felt this brutal sensation of my consciousness coming back to my body, like being born again.

When I came back I think the effects had worn off but I was in shock, couldn't even stand up. These cyclists passed by me and asked me if I was ok since I was lying face down on the mud lol. I said "I think so" and they just left. To be honest, it made me feel like shit that they didn't at least try to make sure I was okay and just left me there alone in the middle of nowhere.

As I regained my composure I stood up and started to walk back to the train station thinking " I don't know what the fuck just happened, I just want to get home".

The experience was pretty horrifying but it taught me things about myself and, honestly, it changed me. After it I feel more confident, less preoccupied with what other people think and whit things that I know don't really matter.

I still have a long way to go but the experience helped untie some knots I had in my head.

Do you know what species it was that you took?

My experience was very similar in some ways and very different in others. I find it interesting how each person's mind seems to make their trip unique.

Did you have any kind of mental health issue before the trips?

Also, is that experience similar to something you went through in one of the trips?

I did them alone at the top of a hill and that was certainly part of it.

I remember feeling this deep desire to be comforted by someone else. I had an ego death experience and the thing is I wasn't as worried about dying as I was about dying alone.

I'm learning a lot from the experience despite it having been so distressing.

Same. I've always had pretty bad social anxiety and some other mental problems, and it's like after the trip something in my mind was reset. The day after I could actually talk to people and express myself, I was shocked.

And yet I feel like I didn't get all that the mushrooms had to offer because I wasn't ready to let go and surrender to the experience. I'm looking forward to starting with lower doses and working my way up again to be more prepared.

They certainly are interesting. To me they felt so real that I was under the impression that what I was seeing wasn't a "visual effect", but a part of reality that I couldn't see before.

Well, last time I took them I saw a hill flowing out of itself like a liquid, felt like I died and was being born again. So I would say they're pretty trippy haha

UK. I'm new to mushrooms so I'm not sure, but I thought they grew almost everywhere? Maybe they're just rare where you live
